“So what if I’ve got nothing left? I still have my company, and it’ll bring me endless profits.”
That was fine. He wouldn’t have his company for much longer.
I told him I wanted revenge.
I would destroy him.
I would leave him with nothing.
After returning to the hospital, something unexpected happened.
The patient from my past life–the one Nicholas falsely accused me of killing–had come back. Just like before, he specifically

requested me to perform his surgery. I still remember how he said he knew of my reputation and trusted me the most.

Back then, I didn’t doubt a thing and immediately agreed to operate. I never expected that after the surgery, Nicholas would
frame me.
Right now, Nicholas had most likely already bribed this patient.
In my past life, the autopsy claimed he died from a post–surgical infection because a pair of scissors was found inside his body.
However, I knew for a fact that no one left scissors inside him during the surgery. I was there the whole time. I would’ve seen it.
Plus, all surgical instruments were counted after every operation.
So there was only one explanation–someone placed the scissors inside him after the surgery.
This time, I was prepared.
Before the operation, I secretly installed a surveillance camera in the operating room.
Then, I proceeded with the surgery…
My assistants were the same ones from my past life–people who had worked with me for years, but in my past life, they had
betrayed me for money and helped Nicholas frame me.
Money really does reveal a person’s true nature.
After the surgery, I checked the surveillance footage. As I expected, no one had placed scissors inside the patient during the
procedure. That meant it was done after surgery.
I rushed to find him, but when I got there, he was already dead. His daughter stood beside him, looking visibly nervous when she
saw me.
Not long after, news spread online that I had performed the surgery. Everyone was saying that I must have made a fatal mistake.
The patient’s family started a commotion at the hospital, and journalists even showed up.
From the corner of my eye, I spotted Nicholas and Shereen lurking in the crowd.
However, unlike my past life, I didn’t panic.
I faced the cameras calmly and said, “Regarding this surgery, I can say with absolute certainty that there was no medical error.
“The police are currently reviewing the surveillance footage. Once the investigation is complete, the truth will come to light.”
“You killed my husband! What else is there to argue?!” A woman rushed forward and slapped me across the face.
Her daughter stood beside her, avoiding my gaze. She was afraid.
When the woman raised her hand to hit me again, the police intervened and stopped her. We were all taken to the police station for questioning.

While in the restroom, I saw the patient’s daughter washing her hands. She looked young; she was probably a college student.
“Are you a freshman?” I asked.
She hesitated, then nodded. “I got into medical school. I want to be a doctor, just like you.”
“You will be,” I said softly. “I can help pay for your education.”
She looked shocked.
“But in return, I want you to tell the truth about your father’s death. I know he told you everything.”
She stared at me in disbelief.
When I had gone to see her father earlier, I noticed her expression was off. Later, I followed her and overheard her telling a friend
about it.
From what I’ve learned, she was a bright and kind girl. I believed she’d do the right thing.
