“Eloise, this is my gift for you, wishing you and Malcolm a long–lasting relationship and smooth sailing in your love life,” she added with a cheerful tone
As she said this, Eleanor deliberately raised her voice, trying to mock Arya.
Only those who received her gift were recognized as her daughters–in–law.
Arya quietly watched all this, her cold face showing no emotion.
When she and her father came to discuss the engagement with the Barnett family last time, Eleanor didn’t offer her a cup of coffee, let alone a gift.
Giving Eloise a gift in front of her now was clearly meant to make her look bad.
But Arya wouldn’t let them succeed so easily.
She looked at Eloise, who had a blushing expression, and asked in a rather cold tone, “Eloise, it seems you’re planning to be with Malcolm. So, have you broken up with your foreign boyfriend?”
As soon as these words came out, the whole place fell into dead silence.
Everyone turned to look at Eloise.

In the Barnetts‘ eyes, Eloise was Malcolm’s first love, a very pure and lovely girl. No way she could have another boyfriend.
Malcolm, who had initially been looking at Arya, couldn’t help but turn his gaze towards Eloise. “Eloise, did you get yourself a boyfriend while abroad?”
Three years ago, Eloise and Malcolm broke up, and she went abroad.
As soon as she got back a few days ago, they hooked up again.
Malcolm had always thought Eloise was still the innocent dream girl, but Arya’s words forced him to be on guard.
“Arya, I never had a boyfriend abroad. Why are you slandering me like this?” Eloise’s face turned slightly pale, but soon, she put on an innocent act, retorting pitifully.
She felt somewhat grateful that she had given her virginity to Malcolm three years ago. Otherwise, it’d be hard to explain herself.
‘But my dating abroad was always kept secret. How did Arya find out?‘ she wondered.
Arya raised an eyebrow. “Whether it’s slandering or true, I think you know best.”
‘Isn’t Eleanor very fond of Eloise? Wonder what if she knew Eloise was a fake saintess?‘ she thought.
“I didn’t, really…” Eloise immediately started sobbing, all pitiful.
“Arya, I know you’re still mad that Malcolm saved me from kidnappers last time. I know you blame me for coming back and taking Malcolm, truly love each other…”
To be honest, Eloise’s acting was on point, especially when she cried, so pitiful, successfully shifting all blame back to Arya.
Eleanor’s wrinkled face got even uglier. “Arya, since you already called off the engagement with Malcolm, why are you still meddling with Malcolm and Eloise’s relationship?”
‘See! They ain’t even married yet. Eleanor’s already being so protective of her future granddaughter–in–law, Arya sneered inwardly.
At that moment, Emily came out of the room, saying sarcastically, “Arya, you already hooked up with my uncle, yet still trying to mess with Malcolm and Eloise’s relationship? Are you trying to play both sides?”

Emily was quite adorable and held the title of the cutest in the entertainment industry. But those who knew her understand that she wasn’t cute at all. kinda asking for a beating instead.
Eloise silently breathed a sigh of relief. ‘Finally, someone is fighting Arya for me. If all the Barnetts hate Arya, then even if she marries into the family, she won’t be able to lead a decent life.‘
Unexpectedly, a cold, stern voice suddenly sounded. “My wife has no interest in scums.”
