Chapter 31
Finn finally released Arya from his arms, his face turning cold as he strode to the door and swung it open. “This better be something urgent!” he snapped.
“Mr. Barnett.” Rosalie suddenly stepped forward, blocking their path. She bowed her head slightly. “Mrs. Barnett… she doesn’t like strangers.”
“Where is she?” The usually composed man’s expression flickered with rare urgency at the mention of that name.
Rosalie glanced briefly at Arya, then replied, “She was found at the White family’s residence in Flodes City. Robert is already on his way to bring her back.”
Finn’s expression turned steely. “Prepare the car. We’re heading back to Flodes City.”
Rosalie nodded. “Yes, Mr. Barnett!”

With that, Rosalie shot Arya a smug look, as if to say, “The real one’s back. It’s only a matter of time before you’re out.”
But what Rosalie didn’t expect was for Arya to step forward gracefully and hook her arm around Finn’s, saying boldly, “Honey, I’ll go with you.”
Rosalie bit her lip hard, then bowed her head respectfully. “I understand,” she replied stiffly.
Finn’s brows knitted together as he stared at Arya, his gaze darkening. “Arya…”
But Arya just smiled, cutting him off with ease. “Winona already told me everything. Don’t worry, I won’t mind.”
Arya was genuinely curious to see who this so–called “Ava” was. Her voice was calm and smooth, as if discussing something utterly trivial.
But Finn’s face turned icier, his expression hardening. “Fine. If you want to come, then come.”
Finn had expected her to feel at least a hint of discomfort–maybe a bit of jealousy–but she seemed completely unbothered.
So, what? Ayra didn’t care about him at all? Even when he was going to see another woman, she could just tag along without a second thought?
Arya could feel the sudden drop in temperature around Finn, her brows furrowing slightly.
Arya muttered, ‘Does he really not want me to go? Am I interrupting his precious moment with his “first love“?
‘If he finds out his “Ava” was actually me, will he be disappointed?!
An hour later, the luxurious Maybach pulled up in the front of the five–star hotel in Flodes City.
When Arya followed Finn into the hotel suite, she immediately noticed a young woman sitting quietly on the sofa, dressed in fine clothes.
Robert stood beside her, along with several bodyguards in black. From a distance, the woman carried a bit of that spoiled–rich–girl aura.
Robert quickly stepped forward and greeted Finn with a respectful nod. “Mr. Barnett!”
As he spoke, Robert gave Arya a surprised look, asif he hadn’t expected Finn to bring her along.
Robert thought, ‘Doesn’t Mr. Barnett worry that this new wife of his might cause a scene?
‘After all, the girl we found–Ava–has always been his obsession, the mark on his heart.
At that moment, the young woman on the sofa also looked up.
Seeing Finn appear, Evelyn immediately stood, her face flushing slightly. “M–Mr. Barnett.

Chapter 31
Evelyn was indeed pretty–her features delicate and enhanced by just the right touch of makeup, giving her an air of refined elegance.
But Arya’s eyes narrowed slightly when she saw the girl’s face.
Arya knew her. It was Evelyn, frer classmate from medical school. Supposedly, Evelyn was swapped at birth and grew up in the countryside for sixteen years before being brought back to the Su family to live the life of a socialite.
But Evelyn was not as innocent as she looked. Back in school, she had always pretended to be sweet and vulnerable to gain sympathy.
Therefore, Arya had never liked dealing with her.
However, Evelyn did study traditional medicine and spent sixteen years in the countryside. On the surface, she did fit the description of the girl who
saved Finn back then.
Finn stared at Evelyn for a moment, his brows knitting slightly. “Robert, are you sure she’s the one?”
For some reason, the moment Finn saw Evelyn, something felt… off. She didn’t match the image in his memory.
Robert answered respectfully, “Mr. Barnett, Ms. White matches Ava’s description perfectly in both age and background. Most importantly, she has the keepsake.”
‘The keepsake?‘ Arya’s eyes widened slightly at the mention of it.
Right then, Evelyn pulled out a heart–shaped pendant from around her neck and held it up, her voice soft. “Mr. Barnett, this is the pendant you gave me when I saved you.”
In reality, Evelyn had found this pendant years ago while foraging for mushrooms with her adoptive parents in the countryside.
Then Evelyn had kept it because it was beautiful, and oddly enough, she found her luck had improved ever since.
Evelyn had no idea what the pendant meant back then, but seeing the opportunity now, she couldn’t possibly pass it up.
Arya stared at the pendant, her mind swirling with memories.
When Arya had saved that injured boy and brought him back to the cabin, he had taken off the pendant and placed it in her hand. “Keep this safe for me. I’ll come back to find you.”
But Arya had lost the pendant while running to find help. She never expected Evelyn to be the one who found it.
Finn’s eyes locked onto the pendant, his gaze turning sharp. “Are you sure… I gave you this pendant?” His tone was dangerously calm, eyes cold and piercing.
Evelyn hesitated, but she nodded firmly. “Yes, Mr. Barnett. You gave it to me back then.”
In Evelyn’s mind, she reasoned that Finn had been searching for this girl for years, but with no success. Perhaps that girl was gone.
And since Evelyn fit the description and had the pendant, why not take the opportunity?
“Are you sure… that pendant was given to you?” Arya suddenly spoke, her voice calm yet icy.
Evelyn blinked, finally noticing Arya standing next to Finn. Recognition flashed in her eyes–Arya Keller, the star of their medical school.
Evelyn had already seen the news about how, a few days ago, Ayra relied on her connection with Finn to make Malcolm humiliated at Norrian Club.
Later, the news was urgently taken down and handled thoroughly.
Evelyn had thought there would be no connection between Arya and Finn.
But here Arya was, standing right by his side. What was their relationship?

Evelyn quickly masked her surprise with a gentle smile. She replied, “Of course. This pendant was given to me by Mr. Barnett back then.”
“You’re lying,” Arya raised an eyebrow, her voice sharp and unyielding. “You were never the one who saved him. That pendant–you just picked it up somewhere, didn’t you?”
