Chapter 792
Jessica felt like she had been publicly slapped in the face by none other than Horace and Brittany.
Now, countless eyes were on her, whispering and pointing fingers. Some watched with amusement, others with disdain, and a few even with pity. It was a messy mix of emotions.
She had once stood at the pinnacle, shining with the glow of being the Larson family’s heiress. But now, she had fallen straight from that peak.
That halo shattered.
How did it come to this?
Her heart burned with bitter resentment.
Just then, someone shouted, “Look! Mr. Hawk is here!”
Stanley had arrived.
Jessica lifted her head to see the crowd parting, clearing a path for him. Stanley’s tall, commanding figure slowly came into view.
Tonight, Stanley was dressed in a custom–tailored black suit, sharp and striking. He strode forward with steady, confident steps, exuding a powerful, almost royal presence.
Jessica gazed at him, completely captivated. He was the man she loved, the one she truly adored.
Ida whispered, “Don’t worry. We haven’t lost yet. Stanley is our secret weapon! If you can’t be the Larson family’s heiress, you
can still be Mrs. Hawk.”
Jessica smiled, suddenly hopeful. Of course! She could still marry into the Hawk family and become a lady of status.
Stanley approached, and Horace and Brittany greeted him. “Stanley, you made it.”
Stanley nodded, then his eyes landed on Wendy. A flash of surprise crossed his gaze. Wendy looked stunning tonight, absolutely
mesmerizing.
Halsey teased, “Jeez, your eyes are practically glued to her!”
Under Stanley’s intense gaze, Wendy curved her lips into a small, knowing smile.
“Mr. Hawk, you came just in time!” Ida interjected. “The Hawk and Larson families have a long–standing engagement, and Jessica is your fiancée. Have you given any more thought to marrying her?”
Halsey scoffed, “Forget it. Stanley would never marry Jessica!”
“Well, that’s not your call!” Jessica snapped back.
Ida turned to Stanley. “Have you made your decision?”
Stanley remained silent.
Ida pursed her lips and quietly muttered an incantation.
A sharp hiss escaped into the air.
Suddenly, Stanley’s head throbbed with unbearable pain. His face turned deathly pale.
“Stanley!” Horace stepped forward and steadied him.
Wendy wanted to move closer to help, but she held herself back. She couldn’t.
Jessica looked at Stanley with a cold smile. “Why put yourself through this? That pounding headache must be terrible. Just agree
to the marriage, and you’ll be free. Wendy’s the source of your pain You need to stay away from her!”

Halsey clenched her fists, furious, itching to slap Jessica.
But Wendy stopped her with a look. She turned to Stanley and said, ‘Marry her.”
Wendy was asking Stanley to marry Jessica.
Stanley lifted his head, eyes searching Wendy’s. “Do you really want me to marry Jessica?”
Wendy nodded. “Yes, I’m telling you to marry her. Do it. It’s over between us.
Halsey opened her mouth to argue, but the thought of the Heartchain Curse within Stanley silenced her.
It was a deadlock. For Stanley’s own survival, he had no choice but to marry Jessica.

Ida pressed on, her tone sharp and threatening. “Have you made up your mind? Our patience won’t last forever. If we can’t have what we want, then no one else will. We’ll destroy it ourselves!”
Jessica looked at Stanley with adoration shining in her eyes. “I really love you, Stanley! I want to marry you.”
Stanley glanced once at Wendy, then fixed his gaze on Jessica’s face. He nodded.
“Alright. I’ll marry you.”
