“Mom, it’s me, Leo! Please! Please stop!”
Leo’s heart–wrenching voice came again, this time clearer. I heard the fear and desperation in his voice.
I struggled to focus, trying to grab onto this anchor of reality.
Slowly, those twisted images began to fade. I saw the real Leo standing not far away, his little face streaked with tears. He wanted to come closer, but someone was holding him
back.
“Diana! Snap out of it!” I called desperately. “This is all from the hallucinogens! You have to help me regain control!”
The drug’s effects hadn’t weakened. I struggled to steady my mind, fighting against it, trying to wake Diana’s rationality. But in those overwhelming waves of emotion, it seemed incredibly difficult.
I still felt an intense urge to attack something, to release this uncontrollable rage. In desperation, I raised my claws and slashed at my own body–if pain could keep me conscious, then so be it.
Just before my claws could touch my body, a massive figure suddenly lunged forward, using his own body to block my claws.
Blood. I smelled blood.
Then I saw him–an equally massive wolf, silver fur, golden eyes burning in the moonlight. Sebastian’s wolf–Orion.
He didn’t retreat, didn’t fear my madness. He looked directly into my eyes, letting out low whimpers of comfort.
I had been prepared to feel the pain of claws ripping through my own flesh, but instead I saw a shocking, bloody wound appear on Orion’s fur. My claws had torn into him, not me.
This image instantly brought me back to reality more effectively than any antidote or pain could have pulled me from the hallucinations.

Chapter 311
“Thea!” Diana’s voice suddenly rang clear in my mind. “We can do this!”
1 took a deep breath, struggling to concentrate. Slowly, I felt the flames of anger beginning to recede. Though I was still in wolf form, I was no longer the beast driven by
emotion.
Then the shift began. Bones started reshaping, fur began disappearing, claws turned back into fingernails. The process was painful, but much better than the previous forced shifts.
When I finally returned to human form, I was so exhausted I could barely stand. Sebastian had also shifted back, immediately wrapping a coat around me, but my attention was fixed on the wound on his ribs.
“Are you okay?” he asked softly, completely ignoring his own injury.
“Your wound…” I reached out to touch it but didn’t dare.
“It’s nothing,” he shook his head. “It’ll heal quickly. What matters is that you’re safe.”
Before I could speak, a small figure rushed over and threw himself into my arms, hugging me tightly.
“Mom! You scared me so much just now.” Leo’s voice was muffled against my chest.
I trembled as I held his small body, feeling his warmth and his racing heartbeat. This was reality. This child who loved me, this little life I needed to protect.
“I’m so sorry, baby,” I whispered in his ear. “Mommy’s so sorry.”
I looked up at our surroundings–overturned tables and chairs, scattered dishes, and what looked like debris from trees and bushes swept away by a tsunami. People stood far away, their faces showing shock, fear, and… awe? Goddess, what had I just done?
Mom and Dad immediately approached me. “How are you feeling now?” Mom scanned me up and down, making sure I wasn’t hurt.
“I’m fine now, Mom.”
Dad’s expression mixed seriousness with concern, but his tone carried a hint of gentle teasing: “So, looks like you gave us quite a surprise, huh? When did this happen?”

I managed a weak smile: “After I recovered my memories. Sorry I didn’t tell you guys. I just wanted to wait until things were clearer…”
Mom gently rubbed my back: “It’s okay, sweetheart. We respect your decision. If you didn’t say anything, you must have had your reasons.”
