Their lips locked in a deep, breath–stealing kiss. Halsey was wearing a champagne–colored satin nightdress, ready for bed before all this. She had thrown on a pale yellow cardigan when she came down.
Now, the cardigan slid off her smooth shoulders as Shaun’s kisses trailed down her neck.
Halsey felt like she was melting. Barely clinging to what was left of her sanity, she whispered, “We’re still in the car…”
Shaun’s voice was low and raspy. “Wanna come back to my place?

“I can’t wait anymore. Let’s just do it here. We’ve never tried it in the car, have we?”
Halsey’s cheeks flushed red. No, they hadn’t.
But then something popped into her mind. “We don’t have that thing here.”

How could she?
Having a baby wasn’t like getting a puppy. You couldn’t just have one on a whim. A child needed a father and mother, a full family–it shouldn’t be something born out of a moment of passion.

A flicker of disappointment passed through Shaun’s eyes. He lowered his head and left a hickey on her neck.
Halsey pushed at him. “Go buy some condoms. Otherwise, you’re not touching me tonight!”
She was adamant about it.
Shaun wasn’t happy, but he respected her decision. “Alright. Let’s go now. Happy?”
