Chapter 865
Shaun’s hands clenched tightly into fists at his sides. Without a word, he stormed over to the table where Halsey and Gilbert were sitting.
“She’s not eating that!” he said sharply.
Hearing his voice, Halsey looked up in surprise. “Shaun? What are you doing here?”
Shaun reached out and grabbed her slender arm, pulling her up from her seat. “You’re coming with me.”
He was taking her away.
Gilbert spoke up, “Are you seriously just going to take her like that? She’s having lunch with me today!”
Shaun shot him a cold look. “She’s my girlfriend now. I’m warning you–if you try meeting her behind my back again, I’ll make you regret it!”
With that, Shaun took Halsey and walked off.
Gilbert dropped his knife and fork on the table with a loud clatter. He had purposely tried to provoke Shaun over the phone, yet Shaun still came to get Halsey.
Clearly, his plan to drive a wedge between them didn’t work.
Damn it.
Just then, someone walked over. “Hi, Mr. Greenwood.”
Gilbert turned his head and saw Chelsea.
He knew who she was. He had already had someone look into the woman who’d been showing up around Shaun. Word was, she was a doctor.

Chelsea had no plans to give up on Shaun. She had been in love with him for years–there was no way she would just let Halsey swoop in and ruin everything she had worked for.
Now that Warren had cut her off, her only real option was to team up with Gilbert. He was a strong ally.
Chelsea smiled coolly. “I look forward to working with you.”
Shaun pushed Halsey into his luxury car, buckled her in, then hit the gas and drove toward the company.

Halsey flinched slightly. “Why are you mad? Is it because I met up with Gilbert-
Shaun cut her off. “Halsey, what are we now?”
“I’m your girlfriend.”
“Exactly. You’re my girlfriend. So why are you sneaking off to see Gilbert? And letting him feed you like that? What’s going on? Am I just your backup plan?”
Halsey quickly explained, “Listen, I can explain!”
“Fine, I’m listening. Go ahead and explain yourself.”
“I was in your office when Gilbert called me. He said he needed to talk in
