Chapter 1
After my 99 failed proposals, I discovered my boyfriend’s SECRET.
He, who never touches me, was always making a heartfelt confession to a photograph, “I love you. You’re the only woman I’ll ever call my wife, and my body and soul will forever belong to you.”
Seeing the woman in the photo, my heart seems to stop beating.
It was HIS NIECE.
The night light cast a dim glow through the door crack.
In the silent dead of night, a man in the study stared at a photo of a woman while his hand moved vigorously. With a final groan, he completed his ‘sprint‘.
I stood frozen at the doorway, feeling like I’d been plunged into an ice bath.
This was already the fifth time this month.
When he agreed to date me, he swore he was asexual, that he wouldn’t touch me, that he preferred a platonic relationship without sex.
Blinded by love, I foolishly believed it was his way of treasuring me.
Now I understood the truth. It wasn’t that he had no desires–just that I wasn’t the one who stirred them.

Instead, it’s his niece, Vivian Pierce, a relationship he couldn’t acknowledge because of social taboos.
A wave of nausea swept through me.
I covered my mouth and ran to the bathroom, vomiting until I was completely drained.
Before I could catch my breath, the bathroom door burst open.
Ethan Pierce yanked my arm without a word and roughly shoved me into his car.
“Vivian’s hurt. You have the same blood type. She needs a transfusion.”
I was barely inside the transfusion room when Ethan coldly instructed the doctor, “Take 1000cc, quickly…”

The doctor, aware of his status, didn’t dare delay.
But when the 1000cc was drawn, he didn’t call for a stop.
Dizzy and weak, I managed to speak, “Ethan, I don’t feel well. Please stop…”
Ethan gave me a complicated look, his voice devoid of warmth. “It’s just a little blood. You won’t die. Just eat some iron–rich foods afterward.”
“Let’s take a bit more to be safe. Vivian can’t have any complications.”
He only let the doctor stop when I passed out from blood loss.
When I opened my eyes, I heard Vivian’s spoiled, angry voice, “I just wanted to scare you. That’s what you get for ignoring me for so long.”
Ethan sighed, his voice weary yet indulgent. “Don’t do this again. You’ve hurt yourself. Are you trying to make me worry?”
“You don’t worry about me. You only care about that woman who stole you away.” She pouted childishly. “Uncle, you once said I was the only one in your heart, that you belonged only to me. Can’t we go back to how things were? Can’t you make that awful woman disappear?”
Ethan’s voice grew hoarse. “Stop it. She’s my girlfriend now, and someday she’ll be your aunt.”
The word “aunt” instantly triggered Vivian.
“NO!”
