Chapter 10
Several tall bodyguards entered the room.
Vivian could barely breathe, backing away in fear.
“What are you doing? I’m the Pierce family’s daughter!”
Ethan took a deep breath, his eyes cold enough to devour someone.
Vivian cried in fear, a mess of tears and snot as she clung to Ethan’s leg. “Uncle, I’m your Vivian! Don’t you love me most? Now that Sophia’s dead, I can marry you! We’re not even blood–related.”
Ethan kicked her away, disgusted by how easily her clothes slipped off with the movement.
She had come deliberately to seduce him.
His expression darkened. Thinking of the inappropriate feelings he’d harbored for years toward this promiscuous, vicious woman made him sick enough to want to tear out his stomach.
He took the scalpel and, with his intimate knowledge of the human body, slowly increased her pain, methodically cutting through the tendons in her hands and feet.
Vivian screamed in agony, delirious with pain. “Ethan, even if you kill me, Sophia won’t come back!”
“Yes, I did it on purpose! I couldn’t stand that bitch stealing the man I wanted! You’re mine! You said I was the only one in your heart, so why find another woman? Your distrust killed her! You’re the most disgusting, despicable person who deserves to die!”
Ethan flinched at the accusation, veins bulging at his temples. But soon, he smiled calmly. “Send her to the special club. Those with unusual tastes prefer the disabled.”
As Vivian’s screams faded into the distance, he collapsed on the floor like his spine had been removed, clutching my bracelet and weeping bitterly. “I’m sorry, Sophia. I was wrong. Please come back…”
While Ethan was arranging my funeral, I was already sitting on a private jet bound for Harbor City.
Harrison crouched beside me, gently stroking my bandaged wrists. “Still hurting?”
I shook my head, gratitude in my eyes.
Shortly after Ethan cut my tendons, the hospital exploded.
Fortunately, Harrison had removed me from the hospital just in time.

Boarding the private jet, I watched the collapsing building and understood that this moment marked the definitive end of my relationship with Ethan.
At the same time, I was grateful for my second chance at life.
Harrison brought top surgeons from Harbor City who cared for me meticulously.
My tendons were treated promptly, with good chances for recovery.
“The cornea transplant surgery is also ready. We can do it as soon as we reach Harbor City. Don’t worry, I’ve got everything under control.”
A warmth spread through me. “Thank you.”
He smiled naturally. “You’re my fiancée. Taking care of you is the bare minimum. Get some rest now. I’ll wake you when we land.”
After the six–hour flight, we finally touched down in Harbor City.
