The power that rolled from my body had everyone in a submissive position even Kellan who was an alpha lowered his head slightly. But he couldn’t leave it at that.
“The council will never let you treat the alpha of the strongest pack this way my wolves will kill yours in a second” me and my pack looked at him as if he was stupid.
My pack started laughing some of my warriors were even kneeling on the ground with tears rolling down their face I couldn’t help the half smile that appeared on my face it was funny.
“It looks like you didn’t get the memo, your pack is no longer the strongest pack” I said pushing him towards his pack.
“What are you talking about” Kellan asked confused.
His beta stepped forward nervously ” alpha there was a message from the council after you left to see Marissa it said that we had been downgraded from the top position.” He said trying to whisper but completely failing.
“Then whose the strongest pack maybe they are our allies” he asked
Beta Jim looked towards me and whispered “the locus pack” I couldn’t help but smirk at Kellan’s horrified expression looking around I found that my pack felt the same.
“No that’s not fair “he whined.
Really was this guy really an alpha.
One thing I new for sure and that was he was too much of an arse for me to accept him as my mate.
I couldn’t help but notice the disdain on some of the warriors faces directed towards their alpha and his childish behaviour.
A few of them stepped forward and started to walk towards me my pack however did not let them take more than one step before they were pinned to the ground.
“Wait let them up boys I want to hear what they want to say to me” I said through the mind link.
My warriors let them up but stayed close just in case their complete focus on the twenty or so wolves who wished to speak with me.
“Yes” I asked looking at the man in the middle who looked to be the spokesperson for the rest.
“Alpha we would like the honour to join your pack” as soon as the words came out of his mouth there was silence then shouts from the alpha and beta of the silver shadow pack.

“Why” I asked needing to know if they really wanted to but their eyes told me everything.
“We wished to be treated equal with other pack members and not favoured or disregarded as our alpha does now we do not support his decisions as our alpha we have no respect for someone who willingly hurts the weak“. His voice got stronger towards the end of his speech.
The others who had stepped forward nodded their heads in agreement while their eyes begged for
me to give them a chance.
They seem trustworthy; we must give those chances for we are the pack for second chances.
“I am going to give you a chance but you must follow the rules laid out to you if you hurt a pack member you will be kicked out of my pack do you understand” my alpha voice commanded.
A chorus of “yes” and “thank you alpha” poured out of their mouths. As inspected some of them I saw bruises on their arms and faces and realised that they needed this second chance to be happy.
I looked towards Kellan who had his fists clutched tightly in anger I glowered at him and his facade cracked fear flashed across his eyes. It was fair to say that there would be no peace treaty signed
today between our packs.
Something said before was nagging on my brain so I directed my question at beta Jim “who is this Marissa girl he went to see” I asked.
Jim looked towards his alpha unsure whether to answer I was getting annoyed I couldn’t stay here
all day listening to nonsense.
“Answer me now” I shouted in my alpha voice giving him no choice but to answer.
“It’s the alphas girlfriend he went to see her three weeks ago “he answered quickly.
How could he have been looking for Kevin if he was with Marissa a sudden realisation came to my
mind Kevin, Kellan was going to take him away from me.
I realised quickly that he hadn’t been looking for Kevin he had probably not even realised he was missing he was just late to the meeting because he was with his lover.
“So you
weren’t looking for Kevin you were with your fuck buddy “I couldn’t help but feel outraged
at his disgusting behaviour.
“What it’s not like I care he’s not even my son” he snarled at me.
I gasped at this unexpected revelation.
Kellan is not Kevin’s father than who is?
