The shock overtook me the pack that had so easily beat me to a pulp needed my help.
Why me? Of all people they had to come and ask me for help.

I grew more and more frightened at the thought of having to confront my tormentors what would they think of me know an alpha they would probably laugh. All the memories came pouring through my mind.
The way they had made me cook for the pack straight after a beating with no rest and a broken wrist cooking for 300 by myself wasn’t easy. The way I was only allowed to run in the night so no one saw
- me.
I could feel the tears building up all I could feel know was the sorrow and pain that they had inflicted.
Enough we are strong they cannot hurt us we must protect our pup and our pack they never were worthy enough to be in our presence.
With that I couldn’t help but agree with my wolf I was not the one that did anything wrong it was them. I was an alpha now and had a pack to look after.
I had not become the alpha of the strongest pack by wallowing in sorrow I had fought for my pack as they had for me I was never going to let them down.
There was also the matter of Kevin and his real family that I had to find out but for some reason I could not bring myself to think about finding out who Kevin’s real father is I couldn’t help but wonder what he was like.

I could feel my wolf smirking it sounded as if she knew something I didn’t suddenly I noticed that I had zoned out for a few minutes and Mick and Drew were looking at me with worried expressions.
“Leila are you ok?” Drew asked.
I took a deep breath and smiled “I’m fine just had a little flashback that’s all” I said trying to reassure them though they didn’t look convinced.
“What are we going to do about the black wolf pack alpha” Mick asked.
“What do you think we should do” I asked looking to them for answers I was still trying to wrap my head around all that had and was happening.

“I think we should let them rot they don’t deserve our help after all they did to you I know you
didn’t tell us all the details about what happened but it isn’t hard to figure out“. I could feel all the anger that Drew felt towards my old pack from his little speech before I could answer Mick spoke.
“I agree with Drew after all they have done they don’t deserve our help let’s just leave them to it”
Mick sneered.
I looked at them both I couldn’t help but want to agree and leave them to it but I knew I couldn’t.
“I can’t we know that there are young children in that pack that have no knowledge of what their parents did to me plus not everyone participated many ran at the first sign of a beating“. I sighed remembering what had happened to the only person that had helped me he ended up being whipped with a silver chain on his back he never fully healed from the torture.
“We have to help if only to prove that we are nothing like them I started this pack to provide a second chance and to help others I am not going back on it no matter what the pack.” I said my voice becoming more determined as I spoke on.
I looked to see both Drew and Mick looking at me with pride and appreciation.
“Alpha we will do as you say “they both said in unison bowing their necks to the side in submission.
I nodded to show I had seen the gesture and appreciated their loyalty towards me as their alpha.
“Okay first we need to assess the situation Drew I want you to go and see what’s wrong get a meeting with their alpha make sure to take at least ten warriors with you ok?“I looked at him for confirmation.
Drew nodded in understanding and waited for me to dismiss him but I still had more to say.
‘Don’t spend too much time there have a meeting then come straight back if there is a problem link ne” I then turned to Mick.
‘I need everyone to be called so I can have a meeting but I want a separate one set up for the warriors so we can talk strategies for training and border patrol” I said my mind whirling with the number of things that needed to be done.
‘Alpha there is also the pack that has come from Italy it sits across the border by a few miles we need to have a meeting with the alpha they are the Amor vita pack” Drew said, I smiled at the name Amor Vita meaning love life it was quite cute if you ask me.
‘Oh that’s the pack that arrived I heard about their alpha apparently he’s a warrior but is really >rotective of his pack” Mick said looking shocked I liked the thought of an alpha that was caring of is pack it was hard to come by nowadays.
