Chapter28
I had heard of the Amor Vita pack they were well known for their warriors the only reason they were not the strongest pack was the fact that they had less members but I had no doubt that if they did they would be sure competition for us.
“Okay Drew set up that meeting straight away we don’t want to get on the bad side with this alpha I would rather have him as an ally then an enemy then you can go deal with the black wolf pack” I said Drew nodded then left the office with Mick following soon after.
I felt drained of energy and knew there was only one person who could cheer me up at this point and that was Kevin. I walked to his room and found him playing with his toys.
I sneaked behind him and grabbed him tickling his sides his giggles filled the whole house with him begging to be let go.
“Ahhhhhhhhhh …. mumm….mummmy let ……me….. goooooooooooooo please but laugh along with him.
“I couldn’t help
“Hello sweetie how are you feeling” I asked him I wanted to know how he felt about the whole Kellan situation.
“I’m happy that bad daddy left he was mean to me” Kevin said.
“Sweetie do you know anything about your real daddy “I asked wandering if this little boy knew anything.
“I don’t know him mummy but I heard bad daddy said he was powerful and they needed to keep me away from him” I looked at this little boy who had been through so much for a boy of his age.
“Why do you think bad daddy wouldn’t let me see my real daddy” he asked me.
“I don’t know sweetie but I’ll find out” I said kissing his head and making a vow that I would give this boy answers.
After a few hours of me relaxing I cooked food in the kitchen with the help of Giselle and a few others everyone ate happily throwing jokes around along with tissues and food. It was fun we were a family even if it was a really big one.
The pack meeting simply consisted of me filling everyone in on what had happened and the new safety measures in place against the hunters and rogues there were a few questions but other than that everyone was slightly alert but not that much it was only a slight threat.
I was just about to go to bed after I had gone to finish up some last minute paperwork in my office when Drew walked in and he didn’t look happy he looked furious.

I quickly called Mick through the mind link and he was there in a second.
I nodded my head in a gesture to speak Drew took a breath then spoke” I don’t know how you dealt with that pack alpha they’re a bunch of self righteous pricks we go there and the first thing the alpha said was that I needed to change my clothes because they were not of good quality to enter his house in” he growled.
Well that was not what I expected I felt like laughing at the ridiculousness of the situation.
“Did you see any imminent threats” I asked the expression on his face quickly changed to that of a confused man.
“That’s what was weird alpha their didn’t look like there was any threat at all if there had been any attacks there would have been some sort of tell but there was none everything was pristine it’s as if they lied about the attacks but why would they” he asked.
I couldn’t help but feel my own confusion of what Drew had said though I did not doubt him he knew what he was doing as Beta of my pack.
“They also kept asking to see you they wanted the alpha of the locus pack not me there” for some reason I couldn’t help but feel a cold sensation in the pit of my stomach I didn’t trust the black wolf pack they’re up to something.
“We will have to keep an eye on them I don’t like their sudden involvement in wanting to see me moving on how did your talk with the alpha of the Amor Vita pack go” I asked.
“It went well the alpha was very nice and said he was going to call to request a meeting also apparently there is something he wants to talk to you about” I was shocked at that statement.
‘What does he want to talk about” I asked wondering what I had to do with it.
‘He wouldn’t say he said it was too personal only the alpha would hear what he has to say but the neetings set for tomorrow at four” that didn’t answer any of my questions.
‘Okay that’s enough work for today come on guys let’s go get some sleep I have a feeling were oing to need it“. I sighed wishing them goodnight and walking towards my room.
couldn’t help but wonder what the alpha of Amor Vita was like and what was so personal that he ad to talk to me about.
Oh well I have a feeling tomorrow is going to be an eventful day.
