From the look in her eyes I knew she was serious I felt respect towards these two warriors for standing up for the poor girl Tia and for giving a warning before striking it showed honour something many wolves had forgotten.
Alek had certainly done well with his pack I realised that he was not one of those alphas that were cruel and useless that saw their pack members as dispensable. He cared for them and them him.
James glared at the girls before turning towards me and Alek completely ignoring them.
“Whatever let’s get back to the point me and my pack have come to destroy you” he said smiling,
I looked at his wolves they all looked weak and feral this was not the pack I had once known he even had the pups here to fight most of them looked terrified out of their mind.
“Do you seriously think you can win” I asked him confused did he not see that my wolves were
superior.
“Obviously I am going to win I am the greatest alpha that has ever lived these wolves bow down to me and so will you, you may be the Custos purum but I am a going to defeat you and become king of wolves heheheh.” James laughed maniacally.
Everyone’s jaws dropped at his stupidity but I couldn’t get over what he called me it sounded like Latin but what the hell did it mean. As these thoughts swept through my mind I could still hear James laughing I didn’t know what to think but my wolf decided to enlighten me with what she
thought.
This sorry excuse for an alpha obviously has some screws loose no wonder his mate rejected him he’s lost his mind since there has never been a wolf king only a queen and the monarchy was gotten
rid of millennia ago he such an idiot. His mate should be glad she left him at least know she can
meet someone who isn’t a simpleton.
Wow my wolf really did not like James at all but she did have a point he does look like he’s lost his mind. I had enough of his laughter there was no point in prolonging the inevitable.
“Fine you want a fight, then come lets fight” I said as I stepped away from mine and Alek’s packs James looked at me and smiled obviously remembering when I was a weak young wolf well he’s in for a big surprise. I did not become alpha of the strongest pack by doing nothing.
“Ooooh well isn’t this going to be fun, hmmm let’s make this interesting darling a battle to the death seems appropriate” he smirked as soon as the word darling had left his lips Alek had let out and involuntary snarl which had been echoed by both packs as he finished his proposition for me.

“I agree whoever the victor of the battle is will become alpha of both packs agreed” he nodded his ascent Alek was about to stop me when I gave him a glare telling him not to interfere I was not weak or helpless that I needed him to save me.
James started circling around me with me following the same patern in the middle of the clearing away from both sides of wolves. The glint in James’s eyes told me to be wary I sent a message to my
pack..
“Be careful he is not to be trusted watch the other wolves stay on alert pass on the message to Alek I
don’t trust James to be fair“.
I saw my pack give slight nods of understanding keeping their watchful eyes across the scene in
front of them.
“Hmmmmm…. You know Leila if I knew you was going to get this sexy I wouldn’t have banished
you from my pack all those years ago but kept you as my slave” he leered at me.
I heard vicious growls float across the air but I didn’t dare take my eyes of James to see whose they were. I had figured that the best way for the least blood to be spilled was to fight James it also gave me a chance to prove to my pack what they meant to me and what I would do to protect them.
“Enough of your nonsense James lets finish this after all I have to pay you back for all those years of you being a prick.” He obviously didn’t like my choice of words because the next thing I know he’s charging towards me.
It’s time to finish this like hell I was going to let this fool become the alpha of my pack my wolf and I were in agreement that it’s time for some payback.
