The man who had stepped forward was the last to drink after the pups and the weak it was silent as we waited for him to finish and tell us their story.
“Thank you for your kindness Alpha Van Derbergh my name is Zack and we did not follow the command of James because he was not our rightful alpha.”
I was confused how could James not be their alpha and if he wasn’t who was there alpha.
“I don’t understand where is your alpha then and why were you following James” I asked trying to find some semblance of understanding in my jumbled thoughts.
“James murdered our alpha by poisoning him as you know this was not done through a challenge so we could reject James as our alpha our wolves would not follow him but he had superior numbers and was able to overpower us. We were once known as the Arma pack our alpha was Donald Nicholson.”
As soon as he said this I heard a gasp run across our pack’s the Arma pack were well known for their ability to make any weapon that was needed the ancestry of the Arma pack ran straight back to the time when the werewolf world was ruled through a monarchy. How could such a revered pack become so broken as these questions past through my head Zack started to speak again.
“We tried to resist but it just ended up with more of the weak in our pack being killed we had lost all hope of any sort of survival. Except a week after our pack was attacked we heard that we were to be used as soldiers to fight against the Locus pack. We knew this was our chance we heard of you our alpha spoke of your kindness and protectiveness of your pack we thought you could help us and you
have.”
As Zach finished his speech I looked and saw little children hiding behind the legs of a few adults fear written behind their eyes and pain.
“Did Alpha Nicholson have any heirs?” I asked hoping that they might be able to reform their pack.
“No Alpha Nicholson lost his mate and did not find another though it does not matter much know since you have become our alpha” Zack said in a small voice.
I was shocked at this and voiced it “Me but how if James was never your alpha how can I be “I asked. Zach looked towards those who were left of the Arma pack who all had weary expressions their
faces.
“Were not sure but as soon as James issued that command after he lost the fight our wolves recognised you as their alpha. The power you showed and your fairness meant that we all willingly

pledged our allegiance to you Alpha.” Zach looked unsure of how I would react to this information.
I couldn’t help but feel confused and undecided I was their alpha now but could I really trust these people in the end my wolf decided for me.
You know as protectors and alphas we have no choice but to help those in need they have come to us after suffering much they have lost everything we must help them it is our duty. They are of no threat to us in fact they seem greatly loyal to us.
I agreed with my wolf and I had to think of the pups and what they had gone through I could not turn these people away. It would go against everything I believed in. Though there was a matter that would need to be sorted first.
“You know that once you join my pack you will no longer be a part of the Arma pack you will be Locus pack members?” I asked knowing it might be difficult for them to give up on their previous
pack.
“We understand alpha but the Arma pack died with Alpha Nicholson we wish to be a part of the locus pack” Zach said with those behind him nodding their heads in agreement.
“Okay your induction into the pack will take place at a later date once you have all been seen to by our pack doctors can you all follow me to the pack house were you will be given food and places to sleep after you are checked over” I started walking towards the pack house and I knew by the footfalls behind me that they were following.
As we neared the pack house Mick mind linked me to inform me that there were no other signs of rogues or hunters in the area. I told him to set up the patrol and take the rest of the warriors to clear
the bodies of the black wolf pack that were still in the clearing.

It took no time to have the new members looked at by the pack doctors, fed and put into the extra rooms in the pack house. I was able to get my wound patched up and only felt a slight twinge know whenever I moved.
Though before Zach had left to his room he had asked to see me in private I could tell it was serious and led him into my office. It was just the two of us as Alek had gone to look after his pack.
“Alpha I have to inform you that the attack by James was just to test your defences there is another more fierce attack to come the hunters and rogues have gathered for the sole purpose to take down the Locus pack“.
I could feel my anger building I noticed Zach lean back into the chair he was sitting in obviously feeling the power rolling of me in waves.
“Do you know why their attacking this pack Zach” I asked trying to gather as much information as I
