Audrey’s POV
“You! Thalia’s face contorted with rage as she took a step toward me. Since you’re not a Parker anymore, I’m sure Grandfather won’t protect you like before!
Under the neon lights of The Underground, her face looked almost demonic with fury.
“Without our family, what are you, Audrey Sinclair? Who are you?” She practically spat my name, her eyes wild. “If we want to crush you, It’ll be as simple as crushing an ant!”
“Then I’ll wait for Miss Parker to crush me,” I replied calmly, leaning against the borrowed sports car.
Suddenly something occurred to me as I raised an eyebrow. “Oh, by the way, since Miss Parker is so eager to come after me, should I perhaps release everything I have on you before you make your
move?”
Thalia instantly paled.
I continued, counting elegantly on my fingers while looking down. “For example, getting trapped at that casino in Atlantic City, being mistaken for an escort when caught with that college boy in that hotel, or being scammed out of six figures in that online dating scheme…”
I glanced up to find Thalia frozen in place, “You wouldn’t dare!” she hissed, her voice barely audible.
Over these three years, whenever Thalia got into trouble and was too afraid to face Blake, she would call me to handle it. Each time, I not only resolved everything discreetly but also helped conceal it from others. Gradually, Thalia developed a habit. No matter what kind of trouble she encountered, she would seek me out. Unlike her mother and brother who would scold her, I would always come with a smile, ready to help.
She never imagined I remembered everything and kept proof. With her plans to break into Hollywood, exposure would make her a laughingstock in New York society.
“Why wouldn’t I dare?” I asked.
Thalia glared but stayed silent, her confidence gone.
Laurel gently raised her eyes and smiled at me, stepping forward slightly. “Miss Sinclair.” Her voice was soft but carried clearly in the night air. “You didn’t come here just to argue with Thalia, did you?”
While speaking, she adopted the air of tonight’s hostess, her posture shifting subtly. “S come uninvited, is there something important you need to handle?”

I raised an eyebrow, about to respond, when a commotion erupted from the direction of the club.

Blake’s POV
“That car is a limited global edition. Only my dealership has it in New York, Alexander explained as we left The Underground.
The night air felt cool after the club’s heat. Several friends followed us out, listening in.
“If Wilson hadn’t called about her model needing a car and promised its return, I wouldn’t have loaned it out,” he continued. “Despite our friendship and all your business, I’m still reluctant to sell you this particular model.”
I raised an eyebrow. “If you’re so reluctant, why loan it at all?”
“That’s different! Alexander frowned. “Wilson considers us close friends. She mentioned the borrower is a gorgeous single model, and you know I’ve been single for years…
He rubbed his hands together. “Plus, she’s a racing expert who might take me racing! Such a spirited woman – lending my car seems worth it. She loves cars and won’t damage it!”
I frowned. “Since you’ve decided to sell it to me, you shouldn’t be lending it to other…”
My words stopped as I spotted a woman by a red sports car across the street.

Why is she here?
I froze, unable to process the sight. Alexander and the others followed my gaze. Alexander looked stunned before turning to me.
“Blake, you think she regrets divorcing you already?” he asked quietly.
I narrowed my eyes, studying Audrey’s composed stance.
The group started whispering.
“Must be it. Everyone knows Blake rented this place to celebrate his divorce.”
“Coming here specifically she must want to reconcile.”
“We said she’d regret it within a week. Couldn’t even last half a day!”
“The Parkers spoiled her too much, making her forget her place.”

I knew it. She couldn’t let go. Whether she missed the Parker wealth or missed me personally. Her regret was enough.
My lips curled upward as I walked toward her, the others following.
As we approached, I noticed Laurel, Thalia, and Olivia standing with her invisible earlier in the dim lighting.
“I’m here because I have my own business,” Audrey’s voice carried through the night.
Thalia snorted. “What business? You obviously regret divorcing my brother!”
She gestured wildly. “You threatened divorce at Grandfather’s party, escalated it online, dragged Laurel into it, then went through with it. Now you’re crawling back the same day. How pathetic!”
Audrey gave her a cold look. “Thalia Parker, is what I have on you not threatening enough?”
Thalia paled. She turned away, avoiding Audrey’s eyes. “That’s all you can do threaten me. But if you expose anything, don’t ever think about entering the Parker household again!”
“Nothing would please me more,” Audrey laughed.
Thalia bit her lip, silenced.
Laurel frowned at Olivia. “Perhaps I shouldn’t have asked you both out for air… If not for me, we wouldn’t have caught Miss Sinclair trying to reconcile with Blake. Now she’s embarrassed and lashing out…”
“What are you saying?” Olivia looked anxious. “Her groveling isn’t our problem. If we hadn’t caught her, someone else would!”
She turned to Audrey with a cold laugh. If you knew it would end like this, why start it? You could have stayed Mrs. Parker. Why divorce only to humiliate yourself?”
Audrey looked down, fidgeting with car keys, waiting for Olivia to finish. Then she looked up calmly.
“Finished?” she asked.
Olivia glared, struggling to find more insults.
Audrey straightened. “My turn. Do you think every woman is like you, unable to survive without wealth and power?” She shook her head. “Divorcing Blake Parker was my choice. I didn’t want him
anymore. I left him.”

gaze swept across everyone present before settling on a point somewhere behind me. separated from him completely, I would never go back to reconcile with him in this lifetime.”

I stopped cold, fury flashing through me.
Alexander looked awkward, glancing between us.
The area fell silent. No one behind me dared breathe.
I stared at Audrey intensely, my gaze drilling through her.
“Just because Blake rented this club doesn’t mean everyone inside belongs to him,” Audrey
continued. She snorted. “I came to meet someone for my own business, not your precious Mr. Parker.
Don’t flatter yourself!”
With that, Audrey took out her phone to find the car owner’s number and pressed the call button.
A phone ringtone suddenly broke through the silent night air.
