Chapter 21
Adele hadn’t noticed Levi.
After leaving the hotel, she took Jessica home and stayed overnight to take care of her.
When Jessica woke up and saw Adele, she hugged her gratefully, “Thanks for last night, I’ll treat you to a meal another day!”
Adele had already prepared breakfast and patted her head, “Go wash up, breakfast is getting cold.”
Jessica hugged her, burying her face against Adele’s waist, reluctant to let go, “Mag, you’re so soft and fragrant, it feels so nice to hug you-”
Adele, “…”
After washing up, Jessica saw the delicious breakfast Adele had prepared and felt incredibly blessed.
She truly believed whoever married Adele would be incredibly lucky.
But thinking of Adele’s marriage to Franklin, she kept quiet, afraid of hurting Adele’s feelings.
She sat down and browsed her phone while eating breakfast.
However, after a moment, her expression changed, and she couldn’t help asking, “Franklin is back in the country?”
Adele, “Yes.”
Jessica handed her phone to Adele.
Adele glanced at it and saw it was Levi’s social media post.
He had posted several photos from their gathering last night.
The caption read: Happy birthday to the beautiful birthday girl~
Though it was wishing Julia happy birthday, four or five of the nine photos were of Franklin and Julia together.
Particularly noticeable was the cake–cutting moment, where Franklin and Julia held the same crystal knife together.
As for their daughter Isabella, she wasn’t in any of the photos–probably to keep this from the Feng family elders, since Franklin’s grandmother was friends with her grandmother.
Because of what happened between her mother and Julia’s mother, the old lady had never liked Julia.
If the old lady found out that Franklin was letting Bella get close to Julia, she would likely be furious.
Looking at the photos alone, anyone would think Franklin and Julia were a real couple.
It was clear that this birthday celebration was specially arranged by Franklin for Julia.
Remembering the cold treatment she received on her own birthday two weeks ago, Adele looked away.
Jessica watched her worriedly, “Mag-”
“It’s fine. Whatever they do has nothing to do with me anymore,”
Adele returned the phone. “I asked Franklin for a divorce.”
“What?!”
Jessica was shocked, “You–you brought up divorce?!”
“Yes,”
Actually, Jessica hadn’t disliked Franklin before.

On the contrary, she used to kilmire him and even had a trush on hâm
“It wasn’t for any particular reason, except that Franklin was simply too exceptional.
Adele had skijiped three grades and graduated from the country’s top university before turning 18, then quietly established her curve and secured several patents–which Jessica thought was already incredible
But Franklin had reportedly graduated from university at 13,
Shortly after graduation, Franklin went abroad for further studies.
It was said that when he returned, he had already established several companies of his own, all of them listed
And at that time, Franklin wasn’t even twenty!
His companies spanned technology, pharmaceuticals, entertainment, and tourism sectors.
In the following years, while continuing to establish his own companies, he also took over the company.
In these few years, he had effortlessly taken the company to new heights.
Who in their circle didn’t give Franklin a thumbs up when mentioning him?
Moreover, Franklin was extremely handsome.
So, Jessica wasn’t surprised that Adele, a genius herself, had fallen for another genius like Franklin.
However, Franklin could be utterly ruthless to those he didn’t like.
Thinking about how he had misunderstood Adele all these years and carelessly trampled on her sincere feelings, she had completely lost her admiration for him.
Jessica had always seen how deeply Adele loved Franklin.
Over the years, she had tried several times to convince Adele to get a divorce.
But Adele had always silently shaken her head.
So she never imagined Adele would actually initiate divorce proceedings.
She could barely eat her breakfast now, looking at Adele with concern, “What happened?”
She knew something must have occurred to make her, who had always loved Franklin so steadfastly, actively seek divorce.
Adele thought for a moment and said, “It’s not really anything major. Maybe I just accumulated enough disappointment and suddenly felt tired. That’s when I decided on divorce.”
Jessica understood Adele’s personality well.
She knew that once Adele made a decision, even if she might not be able to completely let go of Franklin yet, she wouldn’t easily change her mind.
She was serious about this.
Jessica went over and hugged her: “It’s okay, divorce might be for the best.”
Adele: “Mm.”
After breakfast, Adele left Jessica’s place for work.
Before she moved out, even though she and Franklin worked at the same place, they had always left at different times, never going to work together, Plus, he had kept his distance so strictly that sometimes they wouldn’t run into each other at the company for a whole month.
Now that she had moved out, they had encountered each other two days in a row.
