Francesca was so angry, she almost laughed as she thought, how can this bitch be so shameless? And Benedict, why the hell is he going out of his way to protect her?
Francesca stopped pretending and smirked. “Suzanna, I am not insulting you by calling you stupid, I’m just telling the truth.”
She pointed to a camera on the wall nearby. “As an actress, you should be familiar with those, right?”
Suzanna’s face went pale. She realized too late that in all her drama, she had completely forgotten about the security cameras in this fancy villa garden.
“Didn’t you say I pushed you? Want to pull up the footage and show everyone how I supposedly shoved you in?” Francesca grinned, her voice dripping with sarcasm.
Suzanna froze. If that footage got out, she would be so embarrassed she might never show her face in Rediff City again.
Before she could figure out what to do, a few people had already started pushing the organizers to check the
cameras.
Seeing the man was actually going to check it, Suzanna quickly said, “No need, don’t bother. Just treat it like I overreacted and jumped in myself.”
She was quick to think on her feet. “I mean, you’re Benedict’s ex–wife. This is just a family problem. I don’t want everyone to see you doing all that. For the Landon family’s sake, I will take the hit.”
Her speech was so dramatic, it almost made everyone present feel sorry for her.
“What a great girl. She is not even part of the Landon family yet, but she is already thinking about their reputation.”
“Compared to Mr. Landon’s ex–wife, Miss Mitchell is a real catch. If she marries into the family, she will definitely take them to the next level!”
“When is Mr. Landon tying the knot with Miss Mitchell? They better send me an invite when that happens.”

Suzanna stepped back, soaking in the praise with a pleased smile. She could not help but feel triumphant.
But before she could enjoy the moment, she saw the organizer rushing over.
Shit! When did he leave? He went to check the surveillance camera? Suzanna’s heart sank, and a wave of unease swept over her.
The crowd parted as the organizer approached. “So, what did you find? Did you check the
tage?”
Suzanna had made it clear that no one should embarrass Benedict’s ex–wife, and it was also about the Landon family’s reputation, so no one had pushed for the footage. But they were still curious.
Benedict, who had been quiet up until now, looked at the organizer with a stormy expression.

Meanwhile, Suzanna could barely contain her excitement. The camera was broken, she felt like luck was on
her side.
The organizer glanced nervously at Benedict, then at Raymond, and quickly added, “Well, a few days ago, a relative came here with their kid and that brat broke it with his slingshot, so…
“Who the hell are you trying to fool? What relative? And the camera just happened to break at the perfect moment?” Raymond snapped, clearly not buying it.
Everyone in the crowd was from one of Rediff City’s influential families. They all knew how things worked, and the organizer was a billionaire, so it was hard to believe something like that could happen by accident.
The organizer just shrugged, acting like there was nothing he could do. It was just a freak accident, apparently.
Benedict shot him a look, immediately figuring out what was going on. The footage definitely hadn’t been broken, it had probably shown Francesca pushing Suzanna. The organizer was just making up an excuse to cover for Raymond, since it was Raymond who had brought Francesca.
Well, they clearly don’t want to make trouble with the Denvers family, but can they really afford to upset the Landon family? Benedict thought.
