Chapter 32 We’re Even
After Francesca got out of the car, she gestured for Hugh to return first. Daniel also tactfully stood further.
“It’s our fault. Mr. Lahdon, how much money do you want to settle this privately?”
When Benedict saw her get out of the car, his cold expression softened a little. However, when he heard “our fault,” his expression darkened again. He had a jealous tone. “Answer two of my questions, and you don’t have to pay.”
Francesca raised her eyebrows. “Go ahead.”
“How did you escape from that fire?” Benedict stared into her eyes. There was curiosity and an indescribable concern in his tone.
“Mr. Landon, you’re not making sense…
“Don’t play dumb. I know it’s you.” His tone was firm, exuding his self–confidence.
Francesca sneered. “Does it matter how I escaped?”
“So you admit it,” he said as if relieved. “Answer me.”
“Someone saved me. Duh.” Her tone was sarcastic. “Are you disappointed, Mr. Landon?”
“Since someone saved you, why didn’t you contact me after so long? Why couldn’t I find any traces of you? Also, what’s with the fire? Why did you disappear after the fire?”
Francesca’s expression turned cold.
It turned out that he had stopped her because he suspected that she had started a fire.
As expected of Benedict, his thought process was different from common folk!
“You only said to answer two questions. Which one do you want me to answer when you’re asking so many questions at once?” She took a step forward and stared straight at him.
“I called you, but unfortunately, you were too deep into someone’s tender embrace to pick up. Benedict, as much as you want me to die, can’t you care about Grandma’s life? You have no right to questión me!”
Benedict was stunned, “You…”
Francesca didn’t want to waste more time with him. She turned around and prepared to get into the car. “I’ve already answered. We’re even.”
Benedict wanted to stop her. He didn’t receive her call at all. What was going on? Francesca didn’t give him the chance at all. After entering, she asked Hugh to drive.
He took out his phone and scrolled through the call history. There was really a missed call from Francesca, but he had no recollection of it that day.
Benedict thought about it. That day, Suzanna signed her first role as the female lead. He was in Foxglove and went to business events to network as an investor.

soon as he brought her back to her room, she vomited and stained his shirt. He had to return to his room. to clean up. After taking a shower, Suzanna came over in a bathrobe and apologized.
Although they did not have any physical contact in the photo, there were indeed grounds for imagination. In other words, on the day of the accident, Suzanna picked up the call but did not tell him. She even deleted the record of the call!
Daniel felt chills. He did not know what Benedict had discussed, but his expression looked like he wanted to rip someone’s head off. It was terrifying..
Daniel looked at Benedict’s gloomy face from afar and felt a piercing chill.
From his expression, he knew that someone was going to be in deep trouble.
Francesca didn’t rest well the entire night. She dreamed of the fire and then of her childhood. When she woke up, she was drenched in sweat. She looked at her phone and saw that Nina had sent her several messages. The last message was especially glaring.
“I watched the stream yesterday, and I feel like that stupid man is always staring at you. Could it be that he’s rekindled his feelings for you? Hugh is very handsome, right? His family and mine are family friends. I know him very well. Moreover, the Jensens have a good reputation. You won’t lose out if you marry into their family. They’re definitely better than that stupid man.”
Francesca couldn’t help but laugh. No matter how cute he was, she couldn’t bring herself to lay her hands on him. He was a teen boy. How could Nina even come up with such an idea?
Before she could reply, she received a voice message. Nina did not care if she was awake or not. “Go online. That bitch Suzanna is being cheap again.”
