The office was filled with a heavy atmosphere. Expensive oil paintings were hanging on the wall. Benedict was sitting upright on a leather chair with his hands clasped together behind the mahogany desk. His eyes were deep and cold. Behind him, two bodyguards in black suits stood like statues. Their gazes were as sharp as an eagle’s, constantly exuding a suffocating pressure.
“The drama is getting more and more intense. Do you want to clarify?” Daniel’s voice was trembling. He carefully handed the tablet over and lowered his head, afraid to look Benedict in the eye.

His face was even colder than the dead of winter, and there was a layer of gloomy frost between his brows. There was a dangerous glint in his eyes, like a ferocious beast ready to attack. His fingers slowly slid across the screen, and with every glance, the smile on his lips became colder.
“What’s going on? Who spread these rumors?” Benedict’s voice was low and cold. Every word seemed to be squeezed out from between his teeth with an unquestionable dignity.
The temperature in the air seemed to have dropped by a few degrees. Daniel felt a chill run down his spine.
“Not only are they speaking of me, but even Francesca was implicated and got attacked.” There was a hint of anger in his tone, but it was more of a desire to protect Francesca. That deep emotion was faintly discernible under his cold appearance.
