Francesca suppressed her anger and went to the office. Shane hesitated for a moment. “Miss Anderson, do you still have to attend the meeting with Suncatcher tonight?”
“Jessica’s the one that’s introducing me to Kai. We’ll talk about it when she gets out. Let’s let the lawyer handle today’s matter.”
Her phone beeped. Francesca picked it up and saw that it was a message from her good friend Layla Channing. “I just finalized a big deal in Fairmont. Girl, your popularity has soared once more!”
The corners of Francesca’s lips curled up slightly as she replied, “You’ve settled the gown for the film festival?”
“Of course! You’re the only designer invited to Montmartre’s Haute Couture Fashion Week. You’re awesome! Tonight, to celebrate your return, let’s go to “Chaos” to have a good time!”
It had been a long time since Francesca had been with her friends, so she agreed without hesitation. Soon after, Nina’s message popped up. She even specially created a group. Other than her old friends, she also added Hugh to the group and spammed stickers.
Francesca shook her head helplessly. Nina was really putting in a lot of effort to matchmake her and Hugh. However, when she was married to Benedict, she had cut off contact with these friends. Fortunately, they did not bear grudges. She actually missed these guys a lot.
The “Chaos” that Layla mentioned was the most famous club in Rediff. It was a combination of casinos, bars, and nightclubs. It was simply a nightless city. Nina was a party animal through and through. The few of them hit it off and decided to go to the bar for a drink first.
On the other hand, Curtis had just been scolded by the seniors of his family. He was filled with anger and had nowhere to vent his anger. He dragged a few friends out to relax. Just as he pushed open the door of the “Chaos“, he saw his sworn enemy and was so angry that he spat. “Just my luck, what the fuck!”
Benedict followed his gaze and could not help but freeze.
Francesca stood at the bar counter. She was wearing a tight black dress, and her waist was so thin that it looked like one hand was enough to wrap around it. Her long seaweed–like hair was casually draped behind her ears, and she exuded the cold aura of a queen of the night. She was like a femme fatale who had walked out of a movie.
“What the hell? I can’t believe I’m bumping into this woman wherever I go. Is she waiting for me on purpose?” Curtis muttered, his voice filled with displeasure.
Nina and the others naturally noticed Benedict’s group. Although they did not like them, they could not retreat immediately after seeing them. Wouldn’t that make them look cowardly?
Nina’s ears were sharp. When she heard Curtis’s foul mouth start spewing vulgarities again, she sneered and retorted, “Hey, Mr. Ray, has the fire on the internet been put out yet? You’ve already become the laughingstock of the entire country, yet your family still let you out to drink? How brave!”
Curtis’s parents were old–fashioned and kept a close eye on him. He would definitely be badly scolded when
he returned. It was a known fact.
He glared at Francesca and said sarcastically, “I just failed miserably because I was tricked by a despicable

Francesca didn’t even look up as she retorted calmly, “Mr Ray’s words are spot on. Don’t you only dare to behave atrociously because of your family and friends? Every time you mess up, someone will help wipe your ass. If it were me, I would have been too embarrassed to go out long ago.”
“Why bother with them?” Layla frowned, her face full of disdain. “These guys better stay away from us lest they taint our wine.” After saying that, she took the lead and walked toward the VIP area on the second floor. Francesca’s expression was calm. When she passed by Benedict, she did even look at him, completely treating him as air.
