Chapter 4
Nicholas’s pupils shrank suddenly as he pushed the door open and rushed out.
“Shereen, do you have AIDS?”
Shereen’s eyes flashed with panic the moment she saw him. “N–no… no, I don’t.”
“Then, why did you just ask the doctor that?”
“I have a friend who has AIDS. I was askin7g for her.”
Hearing this, Nicholas immediately breathed a sigh of relief. “That’s ‘good. I thought you had AIDS.”
‘So, he’s actually pretty scared of AIDS, huh?”
At this moment, it seemed like he just remembered what had happened earlier. He turned back to look at me and said, “Theresa what’s done is done. No matter what you do, I won’t leave Shereen. She’s carrying my child.”
After saying that, he tightly interlocked his fingers with Shereen’s.
“Fine, then let’s get a divorce.” I looked at him coldly.
Shereen immediately objected. “No, you can’t get divorced. Nicholas, if you divorce her, you’ll leave with nothing. Don’t fall for
her trap!”
I sneered. “Do you think you can just refuse to divorce me? Nicholas’s infidelity is already confirmed. He’s the one at fault.
Leaving with nothing is inevitable.”
“Theresa, no matter what, we were husband and wife. Are you really this heartless?” Nicholas gritted his teeth and glared at me
fiercely.
‘Hah. Now he remembers we were husband and wife? And he dares to call me heartless? He’s the least person qualified to say
that.‘
The things he did to me in my past life were far worse.
“Weren’t you heartless too? Cheating on me behind my back, spending our money on her. Nicholas, let me tell you this–every
penny you spent on Shereen was part of our marital assets. I have every right to take it back. Starting now, I’m not only suing you,
but I’m also suing her!”
After saying that, I turned and left without looking back.
In the days that followed, Nicholas kept calling me, but I didn’t answer once.
Then he started sending me text messages.
