“Is that appropriate?” Tyler asked. “Your father might not say anything, but your mother. might not take it well.”
Eleanor smiled. “What’s inappropriate about it? The wedding and the home visit are separate. Her big moment will be on the day we go back to visit. If she cares, she’ll prepare for it.”
“Alright, let’s do it your way, Tyler said. “By the way, I haven’t heard Chris mention anything about the visit.”
Eleanor laughed. “There was supposed to be one, but Mom thought it was disgraceful and was worried about being questioned, so she announced that the wedding and the visit would be held together.”
Tyler nodded. “It is disgraceful. He suddenly changed brides. Even if no one asks, everyone knows what happened.”
Eleanor returned to the Langford mansion and saw Serena standing in the living room, looking pitiful.
Eleanor looked at Tyler. “What’s she up to now?”
Tyler shook his head. “She’s always putting on a show. Just ignore her.”
“Okay.” Eleanor chose to ignore her.
Serena saw Eleanor and suddenly bowed, saying, “Eleanor, I’m sorry. I was wrong. Please don’t cyberbully me. I’m not as well–educated as you, and I’m not proficient in High Tea. I’m sorry I’ve brought shame to the Langford family.”
Eleanor frowned, sensing something was off. Serena wouldn’t easily apologize.
Eleanor observed Serena, who kept glancing at a particular spot.
Following Serena’s gaze, Eleanor understood. “Serena, what are you doing? Why are you trying to blame me for the trouble you caused? I’m already troubled.
“I just came back from home, and my parents are getting a divorce because someone took pictures of you and Dad being close,”
Suddenly, Serena’s face turned pale.
Eleanor continued, “I’m worried about my wedding. It’s inappropriate to invite them,

“I buried the cat on Mount Eldros. Lately, I’ve been dreaming about a little girl in a white dress standing under a tree, saying she wants revenge. Hey, wait? Where are you going?”
Serena stumbled toward the curtains, while Eleanor kindly said, “What are you doing over there? Are you trying to jump? This is the first floor.”
Serena pulled open the curtains, took out the hidden phone, and frantically started. typing.
Watching Serena’s actions, Eleanor smiled and linked her arm with Tyler’s. “Let’s go.”
Serena felt cold sweat on her forehead. She had deliberately acted weak, saying those. words, hoping Eleanor would mock her. Serena had live–streamed this, planning to twist the situation to counter the negative comments online.
Now, it was clear that Serena had shot herself in the foot. Even if she turned off the
live stream, it was too late.
Serena quickly thought of another idea and opened her secondary account. It was filled with deliberately distorted stories that painted her in a favorable light. She had hoped to one day expose them to the public to gain sympathy.
For example, she had detailed how cautious she had been after being adopted and how Eleanor had bullied her. However, the account was gone.
Serena thought she had entered the wrong password and tried again, only to find that the account still didn’t exist.
Unwilling to accept this, Serena contacted customer service and received a shocking reply. Her account had been banned for violating the rules.
Serena’s eyes widened. She had carefully cultivated that account for years, and now it was gone just like that.
With trembling hands, Serena typed a few words and sent them to customer service. [ What rule did I violate?]

Serena felt her heart turn cold. She had a pretty good idea who was behind it. Naturally, she didn’t dare to provoke him. But she was unwilling to let it go.
Footsteps approached, and Kara walked over. Seeing Serena, Kara slapped her.
Serena couldn’t dodge in time and took the slap squarely on the face. She looked at the furious Kara timidly. “Mrs. Kara, what have I done wrong?”
“Do you even have the nerve to ask?” Kara pointed at Serena. “Your mess has been all over the place. Can’t you just keep quiet? Don’t think I don’t know what you’re up to.
“If you had succeeded, that would be one thing. But what’s the deal between you and your adoptive father?”

“Mrs. Kara, it’s all fake. Eleanor framed me. She must have realized I was looking for evidence and deliberately said those things,” Serena explained.
Kara slapped her again. “Evidence? You were wronged? Do you forget why you married. Chris in the first place? You lied about being pregnant. But you were just infertile.
“I don’t know if what you say is true, but what Eleanor said, nine times out of ten, it’s
true.”
Serena lowered her eyes and whispered, “Mrs. Kara, I know you regret it, but I had my
reasons.”
Kara glared at Serena harshly. “My reputation is being ruined because of you. Can’t you just keep quiet? You’re useless at scheming; you’re just plain stupid.”
Serena stared at Kara with a deep, burning hatred in her eyes. But as soon as Kara looked at her, Serena immediately put on a meek expression. “I’m sorry, Mrs. Kara. It’s my fault.
“I shouldn’t have made you angry. Chris, everyone is unhappy about us being together. For your sake, we should get a divorce.”
“Alright, go do it now,” Kara said coldly. “Seeing you just annoys me.”
“Okay, I’ll call Chris,” Serena said softly.

After receiving the call, Chris rushed back. Looking at Serena, who wanted to cry but didn’t dare, and then at Kara, who had a stern expression, he felt a headache coming on. “Mom, why are you bullying Serena again?”
“I’m bullying her?” Kara was furious. “How dare you say that?”
“It has nothing to do with Mrs. Kara,” Serena said softly. “I was wrong. I shouldn’t have made her angry. Chris, everyone is unhappy about us being together. For your sake, we should get a divorce.”
“Mom, the pregnancy thing was a misunderstanding. Serena just didn’t have
experience.” Chris frowned. “I’m not getting a divorce. Did Eleanor say something to you that made you misunderstand Serena?”
“No, it’s all my fault,” Serena said softly. “If I leave, all the conflicts will be gone.”
Seeing the worry in Chris’s eyes, Kara rolled her eyes. “I finally understand why Eleanor broke up with you.”
