Chapter 47 Wiatry
Chapter 47 Whitey
Seizing on Kara’s words, Chris understood. “Eleanor is really something. She not only deceived Tyler but also you.”
Kara looked at Chris with a headache. “Eleanor could tolerate you for seven years. I really admire her.”
Chris?” Serena stepped forward and held Chris’s hand. “I was wrong.
“It’s okay.” Chris comforted her. “No matter what happens, I’ll protect you.”
“Do as you please,” Kara said coldly. “Chris, Serena is really something, rushing to make herself the center of the news.”
Chris looked puzzled, and after understanding the situation, he said, “Mom, you might not understand that some news trends are deliberately orchestrated. Eleanor is trying to harm Serena. Serena, don’t worry. I’ll make sure you get justice.”
Serena smiled. “Thank you for believing me. There’s one more thing. I’d rather tell you myself than have someone else tell you. My adoptive father was inappropriate with me, but I didn’t dare to say anything.
“I was just a child back then, and I couldn’t do anything. Eleanor knew about this, but she, along with Mr. Donovan, kept it from Mrs. Donovan to get to you.”
Kara couldn’t bear it any longer. “You have no real skills, yet you want to stir up trouble. You’re really stupid.”
Serena watched as Kara stormed off, her eyes filling with tears again.
“Don’t say another word,” Chris worriedly held Serena in his arms. “I won’t let you get hurt again.”
After Kara went upstairs, she saw Eleanor coming out of the study and called out to her. “Wait, Eleanor.”
Eleanor was quite polite. “Kara, what’s the matter?”
“I won’t apologize to you,” Kara blurted out.
Eleanor was surprised. “Did we have an argument?”
Kara snorted coldly. “If I met a stupid man, I wouldn’t entangle with him for seven years. I don’t care whether you were trying to move yourself or what, so don’t expect an apology from me.”
Kara returned to the house with her head held high, while Eleanor was somewhat surprised.
Back in her room, Eleanor mentioned the incident. “What’s gotten into Kara? I don’t understand what she means at all.”
Tyler pondered for a moment and said, “I think we’ll have an answer soon.”

Chapter 47 Whiter
At mealtime, Chris and Serena were still not coming down.
Arthur was angry. “How rude of them. Do we need to go upstairs and personally call them down for dinner?”
The maid who was sent to call them came back, cautiously glancing at Eleanor before speaking to Arthur. “Mr. Chris said that Mrs. Eleanor has to come and invite them personally before they will come down for dinner because-”
Seeing her hesitation, Arthur asked, “Because what?”
“Because Mrs. Eleanor has been bullying Mrs. Serena. Mrs. Serena is crying quite a bit now,” she said.
“Such a big fuss,” Kara said coldly. “Mrs. Serena? From now on, you can call her Miss Farrell. Dad, what do you think?”
Arthur nodded. “I think that’s fine.”
“Since they don’t want to eat, it means they’re not hungry,” Tyler said slowly. “So we don’t need to bother with them. By the way, make sure to clean up the food in the house and buy fresh supplies tomorrow.”
“Yes, sir,” the maid said.
Eleanor looked at Kara, thinking, ‘Indeed, the enemy of my enemy is my friend.‘
Why are you looking at me?” Kara rolled her eyes and said.
“Nothing. I just think you can be quite smart sometimes. I was wondering if anyone who marries your son would end up on your bad side?” Eleanor said.
“So what? You’re not going to stand up for Serena, are you?” Kara sneered. “You’re Tyler’s wife now. I don’t have the right to lecture you.
“But Serena is my daughter–in–law, and I naturally have the right to scold her a bit. She hasn’t even found her place yet.”
Eleanor smiled, thinking, ‘It seems like choosing to stay at the Langford mansion was a good decision. This is quite interesting.
Chris waited for a long time, but Eleanor still didn’t come in to apologize.
Serena whispered, “I told you it wouldn’t work. Chris, I’m just an insignificant person.” “They made you sick, especially Eleanor. She was an accomplice, and that’s even more hateful,” Chris said coldly. “We have to show them our determination.”
Time ticked by, and as an hour passed, Serena’s stomach growled. “Chris, I’m hungry,” she said.
Chris was also getting restless. He took Serena’s hand. “Let’s go outside and see what‘ s going on.”
The dining room was empty. Chris frowned and went to the kitchen, only to find that the refrigerator and cabinets were all empty.

Chapter 47 Whitey
Chris stopped a passing maid. “Where are the groceries in the house?”
“Mr. Tyler said the groceries should be fresh, so everything in the house was thrown out,” the maid said.
Chris was speechless with anger, clenching his fists as the maid hurried away.
Seeing this, the maid hurriedly left.
“You got dirty playing in the mud. Go wash your hands,” Wendy said, leading a little girl over and noticing Chris. “Mr. Chris, are you hungry? I think you should apologize to Tyler and Eleanor first.”
“Wendy, I know you’re close to Eleanor, but don’t forget your place,” Chris said angrily. Serena-”
Chris called out, but there was no response. He turned his head and saw Serena staring in horror at the little girl Wendy was holding, managing to squeeze out a few words. “W–Whitey?”
The little girl had cat ears on her head, was wearing a white dress, and had dirty hands. and face.
“My name is Kitty, not Whitey,” the little girl said. “I don’t like people who lie. You bullied Eleanor.‘
“N–no, you are Whitey,” Serena said, wide–eyed, hugging her head and squatting on the ground.
“Serena?” Chris was anxious, glaring at Wendy. “Where are her parents? If Serena doesn’t like your granddaughter, take her away immediately. We hired you to work. Won’t bringing a child affect your job?”
“What’s all the noise about?” a voice came from behind, and Eleanor walked over, holding a packet of medicine.
“Hi, Eleanor, she said I’m Whitey,” the little girl said.
Wendy’s face changed, and she hurriedly said, “Don’t be so rude. You should call her Mrs. Eleanor. Mrs. Eleanor, I’m sorry.”
“It’s okay. I quite like her,” Eleanor said. “But, Whitey?”
Eleanor looked at the little girl and smiled. “You do look like the little white cat I had that passed away. Serena, what’s wrong with you?
“You’re not actually upset about the Whitey thing I mentioned before, are you? Hey, if you have a clear conscience, what are you afraid of?”
“I know it’s you.” Chris stepped forward, raising his hand.
Eleanor looked at him fearlessly. “Think about who you are before you lay a hand on
me.”
Chris froze, slowly lowering his hand.
Chapter Whitey
The next moment, Eleanor took a few steps back and fell to the ground. Before Chris could react, Eleanor cried out, “Chris, why did you hit me?”
