Chapter 53 Jealousy
“Eleanor, who is this? Tyler pressed his hand to his lips and coughed lightly. I never heard that Eleanor had such a friend. And I don’t really like him, he thought to himself.
Serena smiled slyly, thinking, ‘Now that he’s come knocking on the door, this is getting interesting.’
Clearing her throat, Serena said, “Eleanor, who is this? Is he your admirer? How did he track you down here?”
Eleanor glanced at Serena but ignored her.
“Eleanor, she’s so mean. I don’t like the way she talks,” Angust said. “After I went back, they wouldn’t tell me where you had gone. Fortunately, I was clever enough to hack into Xandra’s phone and found your information.”
Seeing Angust’s smug expression, Eleanor said, “You must be tired from traveling such a long way. Tyler, do we have a guest room here?”
“Yes, I’ll have someone arrange it,” Tyler said. “And who might this be?”
“A friend I used to know,” Eleanor said. “He had to go back for family matters for a
while.
“Eleanor, I came to you because of this very thing. My family went bankrupt. My parents were keeping a close eye on me. I barely managed to escape.
“If I had been any later, my parents would have forced me to marry someone else,” Angust said with a grin. “Eleanor, everyone knows I like you.”
Eleanor looked at Angust. “You’re just infatuated with the novelty. In the Capital, you’ve met all kinds of girls. But they all knew your identity and were just trying to ingratiate themselves with you.”
“Eleanor, what are you talking about? I don’t have any special status,” Angust grumbled. “I dressed in clothes made from fabric you like just to see you. This is Mulberry Silk.
No one around you would wear something like this.”
Eleanor felt the fabric. “From the Everdale family?”
“Of course,” Angust said. “You once mentioned that only the most famous stores” Mulberry Silk is of good quality. What do you think of the pattern and the tailoring?”
Serena couldn’t help but laugh. “Tyler, I think you should put my matters aside for now. Eleanor actually got involved with such a young man. His outfit is just too flamboyant.” “Eleanor, why is she so talkative and so unsophisticated?” Angust was displeased.” Can’t she recognize Mulberry Silk”

“She really hasn’t been exposed to, Livano u. you talk to her about something else, maybe she’ll know, like, high–end products or luxury goods.”
Serena had spent a lot of time learning about these brands to fit into the upper–class

social circle.
“Oh, I see,” Angust said. “It’s okay, Eleanor. I won’t hold it against her. If you ever launch your own brand, I’ll definitely help you promote it worldwide.”
“Eleanor, you’re so impressive,” Serena sneered. “And Tyler is still here.”
Eleanor glanced at Tyler, whose face was tense, his eyes cold, and his gaze fixed on Angust.
“Tyler, to be precise, he’s my apprentice,” Eleanor said. “Don’t get the wrong idea.”
“I won’t,” Tyler said. “I can tell you’re not interested in him at all.”
“Eleanor, is he the one you’re going to marry?” Angust said. “He’s not as young as I, not as good–looking. But, compared to your ex, he is a bit better.”
Tyler seemed to have reached his limit of patience, stepped forward, grabbed Angust’s wrist, and dragged him away. “You must be tired after such a long journey. Let me show you to the guest room.”
“Chris, Serena suddenly said, “Eleanor used to like you so much. How could she possibly fall for someone else? You must know this guy, right? You should talk to Tyler. It would be so pitiful if Eleanor got divorced by Tyler again.”
Chris shook his head. “I don’t know this person.”
“No way, Serena said, surprised. “Chris, suddenly my sense of guilt isn’t so strong
anymore.”
Eleanor laughed, her calm gaze sweeping over Chris and Serena. “Mind your own business.”
Eleanor laughed, her calm gaze sweeping over Chris and Serena. “Mind your own. business.”
Angust crossed his arms over his chest. “What for? I warn you. I’m not interested in
men.”
Tyler sneered. “I’m not interested in you either. I want to see your clothes.”
“Are you crazy?” Angust took off his clothes and handed them to Tyler. “These are custom–made. You can’t buy them on the market.”
Tyler rubbed the fabric between his fingers. “This is Mulberry Silk?”
“Yeah,” Angust said. “Eleanor was a celebrity in Silverridge back then. In Shavalyn Town, her name was well–known. If it weren’t for my family issues, I would have married her.”
“She’s already my wife,” Tyler said, tossing the clothes back onto Angust. “The watch on your wrist costs 30 thousand dollars. It seems you come from a wealthy family.”
Angust blinked. “It was a gift from someone, or maybe I bought it second–hand. If you like it, I’ll give it to you.”

“No need,” Tyler said coldly. “The only thing on you that’s probably domestic is this jacket. You know whether you truly appreciate handmade items or if you have ulterior motives.”
“Don’t lie to me. I know Eleanor had a fiancé. You must be the younger uncle of her ex- fiancé, right? You can’t say you didn’t have feelings for Eleanor before. You just got the upper hand over me,” Angust said.
“We’ve already gotten our marriage license. You’re welcome to stay for the wedding if you like,” Tyler said.
Tyler returned to the room and saw Eleanor fiddling with a hairpin. “Is this the package. from earlier?”
“Yes, it’s from my friend,” Eleanor said. “Look, this hairpin is so elegant. Using it for the wedding bag, paired with matching hand–embroidered silk gloves. What do you think?”
Tyler gazed at Eleanor. “As long as you’re happy.”
“These were my favorite styles back then, Eleanor said. “Actually, it’s been five years. After graduation, my family kept urging me to come back. I used to be love–struck. If given another chance, I would choose to stay there.”
“Because of Angust? Do you like him?” Tyler asked.
“How could I like him?” Eleanor said. “Although I don’t know his family background, I’ve seen him get out of a luxury car. That license plate alone shows he’s quite well–off in the Capital.
“I don’t want to get involved with a young noble from the Capital. It’s too much trouble.”
“You’re very wise,” Tyler said.
“I know my limits,” Eleanor said. “Although my family isn’t poor, in some places and to some people, we’re not considered high–class. I don’t need to invite unnecessary trouble.
“What if, back then, he and I appeared in front of you at the same time, who would you choose to marry?” Tyler said.
