He was gentle as jade, a true gentleman. Before I was imprisoned, he had even spoken up for me. Unfortunately, given the overwhelming circumstances at the time, he couldn’t change my fate.
The woman standing beside him, Shirley, was a troublesome woman.
She had liked Shane for years, despite knowing he had no interest in her. Relying on her wealth and power, the persistently clung to him.
She even followed him abroad for his studies, using her father influence to make it happen.
In Naomi’s past life, because Shane had defended her, she had suffered greatly at Shirley’s hands,
Understanding this well. Naomi did not approach them recklessly. Instead, she stood silently to the side. listening and calculating her next move.
“Shane, we’ve known each other since childhood, and our families want us to marry. What’s so bad about that? Why don’t you want me with you?”
Shirley’s frustrated voice carried across the foreign chatter, making it stand out sharply.
“There’s no reason.” Shane’s tone was indifferent, unwilling to waste even half a word more.
“You!” Shirley’s delicate face turned red with anger. “My father personally gave permission for me to stay by your side and study abroad with you. Now that I’m here, stay put and don’t even think about running away!
“This isn’t something that can be forced.” Shane kept his responses under ten words, finding it unnecessary to say more.
arily stunned.
Hearing Naomi’s voice, Shane turned his head and saw the girl, momentarily
She looked familiar
Delicate, arched brows framed her bright, clear eyes. Her fair flawless skin carried a faint pink hue, and her cherry lips were naturally rosy. Her oval–shaped face was strikingly beautiful, and her gentle smile was captivating

Tm Naomi. Seeing Shane’s surprised expression, she introduced herself with a
soft smile.
“You’re the Naomi Judd from the Judd family that’s been all over the internet lately?” Shane’s deep eyes widened slightly at the name.
The Judd family’s drama had been a heated topic online. People said Naomi was exceptionally talented but had been suppressed and mistreated by her foolish siblings for years. Only now had she finally gained her freedom.
I hadn’t expected to meet her in person.
With this realization, Shane’s gaze turned curious and intrigued.

Shane snapped out of his thoughts. “Oh! Yes, that’s my suitcase. Ms. Judd, you seem very familiar. Have we
met before?”
Naomi was taken aback.
Before she could recall where they might have met, Slimme raised a brow and smiled. “Ms. Judd, you don’t remember? We’re old acquaintances. I also saw the new about you cutting ties with the Judd family. I admire your courage. Would you do me the honor of having dinner together?
Since he had extended the invitation so directly, Naomi couldn’t refuse. She smiled and agreed.
As the evening set in, they dined at a Western restaurant near the airport.
While waiting for the food, Shane casually struck up a conversation.
“I heard you came to Flaenia for further studies, Ms. Judd. What are you majoring in“?
“I was an Al engineer back in the country. Now, I’m majoring in computer science at Woodcreek Academy. Additionally, I want to pursue one or two more degrees. It never hurts to have more skills.” Naomi met Shane’s gaze with a calm expression.
Shane’s mouth opened slightly in surprise. “Woodcreek Academy? Internet studies? What a coincidence! Lin here in Flacnia to teach internet studies at Woodcreek Academy. If you ever have questions, we can
Naomi, already aware that Shane had been her professor in her past life, wasn’t surprised. She humbly replied.
“I wouldn’t dare claim to exchange ideas with you, Professor Shane. As a student, I hope to seek your guidance in the future.”
“You mentioned wanting to study another field. What are you considering?” Shane asked.
Naomi pondered for a moment. In my past life, one of her unfulfilled dreams was to develop my musical talent.
With a slight smile, she said, “I’m interested in composing. I’d like to pursue a music degree, though I haven’t decided on the specifics yet.”
Shane’s smile deepened. “That’s another coincidence. I happen to know quite a bit about Woodcreek Academy’s music degree. If you’d like, I can introduce you to it.”
“I’d love to hear more, Naomi said.
True to his reputation as a professor, Shane was incredibly knowledgeable about the academy. He found Naomi intriguing and was happy to share what he knew
Within a short time, Naomi had gained a thorough understanding of Woodcreek Academy’s internet and music degrees.
As they were chatting, an array of exquisite dishes was served–Fried Beef Steak, Onion Rings, Mushroom Soup, caviar. All taste good

Having navigated the Judd family’s social circles for years, Naomi was well–versed in high society dining etiquette.
She expertly cut her meat into small pieces and ate with grace, giving no room for criticismi.
Shane’s eyes held even more admiration as he observed her. “Do the dishes suit your taste, Ms. Judd?”
“Thank you for the treat, Mr. Shane. They’re indeed more authentic than those back home.” Naomi didn’t hold back her praise,
“However, since I’m new to Flacnia, I’m still unfamiliar with the local culture. Could you offer some guidance“?
Shane was more than happy to continue their conversation. The more they talked, the more he realized that despite never having been to Flaenia before, Naomi’s knowledge of the country was no less than that of a local. She had clearly done her homework.
“Ms. Judd, your insight and eloquence are beyond ordinary.” Shane spoke with genuine admiration.
“Even locals would have to call you a teacher.
“You flatter me, Mr. Shane.”
Shane would be my professor in the future. Building a good relationship now would only benefit me.
In my past life, he had only helped me once. But in this life, if could establish contact, it would be even better.
“Ms. Judd, I feel like we’ve met too late. May I be so bold as to ask for your contact information? If you ever need anything, don’t hesitate to reach out.”
“It would be my honor,” Naomi replied.
As night fell, Shane insisted on escorting Naomi back to her apartment for safety reasons. After a brief consideration, she agreed.
They walked together, chatting as they pulled their luggage toward Woodcreek Academy.
As they reached a point where their paths diverged, Shane said, “Ms. Judd, message me once you’re home.”
He waved and turned to leave but had only taken a few steps when a figure suddenly dashed past.
A warning bell rang in Shane’s mind–something was wrong. He turned sharply.
Sure enough, a man sprinted toward Naomi, yanking her designer handbag from her grasp before bolting!
The force nearly made Naomi stumble, but she quickly regained her balance, spotted the thief’s direction. and immediately gave chase!
“Ms. Judd, stay back! I’ll get your bag!”
Shane panicked at the sight of a young woman running after a thief alone in a foreign country.
