“Only 200,000? You think that’s enough to get rid of me? My poor Sarah, ending up with such a family…” At the mention of her daughter, Sarah, Lucie collapsed onto the ground, sobbing dramatically,
“Because of that fire, I was bedridden for years, and now my life is practically ruined. How far do you think. 200,000 dollars will go! Oh, my miserable fate.. The world has changed. I helped them, but they don’t even appreciate it.
She wailed loudly, her cries echoing through the entire neighborhood.
Every day, every night, she made a scene, making it impossible for anyone to live in peace.

But despite the tears running down her face. Lucie was quick. She dodged his hand and continued wailing. “The world is cruel! Sarah, I have failed you! The Judd family is nothing but a pit that swallows people whole!”
Seeing that she couldn’t be allowed to continue like this Flynn finally lost his patience. “Enough!
His angry shout startled Lucie into temporary silence. She looked up at him cautiously, as if testing his
temper.
“Speak. What exactly do you want? As long as it’s within reason, I’ll try to accommodate you. At those words, the sorrow on Lucie’s face vanished in an instant replaced by a shrewd glint in her eyes.
“Mr. Flynn, I’ve lost everything. I have nowhere to go, no family, no home. Why don’t you let me stay in the Judd Mansion? Give me food and shelter so I won’t be left wandering on the streets. After all, wouldn’t it be disgraceful for the Judd family to turn away their own benefactor?”
She carefully observed Flynn’s reaction, watching his face grow darker and darker.
“Are you threatening me?” Flynn asked.
“Of course not. I just believe that the Judd family can certainly afford to support someone as insignificant as me, right?”
Flynn let out a long sigh. It was true. The Judd family could easily afford to support her.
But Lucie was clearly ambitious and would not be easy to deal with. Who knew what kind of trouble she would cause in the future?
Still, to avoid public embarrassment, he had no choice but to agree. “Fine, Lucie, come in, and we’ll talk about it.”
At the mention of come in, Lucie’s expression brightened. She wiped away the tears on her face and walked into the mansion.

“Just go.” Flynn waved her away impatiently. He had a bad feeling about this.
Seeing his irritation, Lucie’s eyes darted around, scherming.
Suddenly, she let out another exaggerated sigh, clutching her chest. Even though Mr. Flynn is kind enough to let me stay, I can’t just sit around doing nothing. I don’t want to take advantage of your generosity.
She glanced at him, gauging his reaction, then dramatically wiped her tears. “Seeing this house reminds me of the past, back when Madam Jessica was still here; she treated us so well…”
Tears streamed down her face as if she were truly mourning Jessica.
Even Flynn, who had remained composed, could not help but wipe the corners of his eyes.
“Madam Jessica left too soon, leaving this home behind. Since I have some free time today, why don’t I cook a few of the dishes she used to love? Would you like that, Mr. Flynn?”
She carefully watched his expression.
Flynn hesitated for a moment, then nodded. “Alright. You’ve been with this family for a long time. Go ahead and make something she liked.”
Getting his approval, Lucie quickly set down her bags and rushed to the kitchen.
If there was one thing she excelled at, it was pleasing people. Especially the wealthy and powerful.
She just had to cook a few nostalgic dishes, and Flynn would be in tears. After all, the way to a man’s heart was through his stomach.
As for that measly 200,000 dollars? She had her sights set on something much bigger.
