Chapter 3 The Report
Naomi was shoved so suddenly that she fell straight off the hospital bed.
Even the IV in her hand was ripped out, and blood immediately welled up at the spot.

The other brothers quickly pulled Logan back. Just as they were about to help Naomi up, a loud thud sounded behind them.
“Something’s wrong–Sarah fainted!” Harvey shouted.
“Doctor! We need a doctor!” The entire family instinctively rushed toward Sarah.
Harvey and Logan ran out in a panic to find help.
No one paid any attention to Naomi, who had landed right on her injuries.
Her face was pale, drenched in cold sweat from the pain.
During the explosion, she had shielded Harvey and Sarah with her body, so the injuries weren’t just to her head–her arm was bandaged, and there were two burn wounds on her leg.
But all they cared about was Sarah, who had only scraped her hand.
It took Naomi a while to steady herself before she managed to get up from the floor.
She looked at the family frantically fussing over Sarah, then gritted her teeth and picked up her phone. “Hi, this is Naomi from room 311. I want to be transferred to a premium suite. Please arrange it as soon as possible.”
The room was full of anxious voices, so no one noticed what she was doing.
After the call, Naomi slowly climbed back onto the bed, quietly enduring the pain that felt like her wounds were being ripped open.
She used to be terrified of pain.
But over time, she had developed a terrifying tolerance for it.
All thanks to the family she nearly died protecting–who had personally sent her to prison.
Those years of beatings had toughened her heart.
Once she was moved into a premium suite, everything around her finally went quiet. Only then did Naomi have the space to start planning her next steps.
She was one of the country’s top Al engineers and had access to most of the source code behind the family’s business. But the Judd family had no idea.
Keeping her identity hidden was the smartest decision she’d ever made.

Chapter 3 The Report
In her last life, everything had revolved around the Judd family.
But now that she had a second chance, she wasn’t going to let them drag her down again.
She was going to leave this family. Leave this prison.
This time, she was going to live for herself.

Sarah had only suffered a minor injury. After a day of observation at the hospital, she was discharged.
Naomi knew that through her Instagram.
Sarah had posted a photo of herself resting at home, surrounded by family. The caption read: “Still the little princess of the house.”
Naomi knew exactly who that message was meant for.
But there was no need.
She felt nothing. She unfollowed Sarah without hesitation.
Over the next few days, Naomi stayed at the hospital recovering. After Sarah was discharged, no one from the Judd family came to visit.
She had been completely forgotten.
No–technically, they probably still remembered her. They just didn’t think it was worth checking in.
Naomi didn’t care. The first thing she did after being discharged was accept the university’s offer to study abroad.
Once she submitted the paperwork, she returned home to pack her things.
As soon as she opened the door, she saw the entire family gathered in the living room, throwing a birthday party for Sarah.
The place was covered in balloons. The table was overflowing with gifts. Pieces of confetti were scattered all over the floor. People were packed in tight, chatting loudly. It was a lively scene.
The last time she’d seen this, it had taken her three days to recover.
But this time, she felt completely calm. Not caring meant not getting hurt.
She didn’t want to ruin their good time. She quietly turned to head upstairs and start packing.
Then a syrupy voice rang out behind her.
“Naomi?”
The room instantly went silent. The Judd family turned to look at her, their smiles awkwardly frozen in place, clearly surprised.
“Naomi, are you feeling better?”

“I’m so sorry. I’ve just been feeling really weak lately, so everyone’s been taking care of me at home… maybe it’s because I’m the youngest. Naomi, you don’t mind, do you?”
Her gentle tone was full of provocation. It was obvious, but the rest of the Judd family didn’t seem to catch it.
“Of course not. You’re so delicate, after all.” Naomi gave a cold smile.
Logan, already seething, looked like he was about to storm over and argue, but Foster quickly pulled him
back.
“Mimi, it’s Sarah’s birthday today. Since you’re home, why don’t you come join us?”
Foster always played the peacemaker but somehow, he always sided with Sarah.
Jeremy and Nolan chimed in too. Only Harvey, still sulking, didn’t say a word.
Sarah looked up at Naomi with watery eyes. “Naomi, are you still mad about the lab incident? I’ve thought it over, and I really was in the wrong. Your future matters too, and of course you have to think about yourself…”
“Yeah, some people are just selfish,” Harvey muttered darkly.
Naomi let out a laugh. “If I don’t think about myself, should I be thinking about you? You’ve already got enough people bending over backward for you. You don’t need me, too.”
She turned to look straight at Harvey.
“And you’re not selfish? If you’re so righteous, why couldn’t you tell the truth in front of Mr. Zach? There were mirrors all over that room. Didn’t you notice your disgusting face at that time?”
“Naomi!” Harvey’s face turned red with rage.
Sure enough, her words shattered the fake smiles plastered on the entire family’s faces.
One after another, they started accusing her of finally showing her true colors.
Naomi sneered and walked upstairs without looking back.
She’d lit the match. Let them burn.
Back in her room, she started gathering all the gifts the family had ever given her.
With so many people in the house, she had received a lot.
She hadn’t realized just how much until she started packing–it filled three full boxes.
She dragged them downstairs one by one.
“These are all the gifts you’ve given me. I barely opened any of them. Now I’m returning them all.”
Just as the Judd family had started to calm down, this gesture set them off all over again.
Nolan slouched against the couch and laughed. “Mimi, what kind of drama are you pulling now?”

He was always the easygoing one. But the rest of them weren’t as chill.
Logan snapped, “Naomi, are you done yet? What’s wrong with you?”

Harvey said, “Who returns gifts like that? You’re just mad because it’s Sarah’s birthday and we gave her presents. Are you seriously jealous? Have we ever treated you unfairly on your birthday?”
Foster added, “Mimi, this is your fault. Sarah’s the youngest. Why are you always picking on her?”
Even Jeremy, usually calm and rational, spoke up against her.
Sarah bit her lip, pretending to feel guilty. “Naomi, please don’t be like this… It’s my fault. I didn’t think you’d be upset about my birthday. Here, take these gifts. I don’t deserve them anyway–I’m not even really a Judd.”
“Sarah. You’re our precious little sister. Of course you’re also a Judd.”
“Yeah. Your brother is right.”
The entire family turned to comfort Sarah again.
Naomi let out a quiet laugh, set the boxes down, and turned back upstairs.
About half an hour later, she came back down with her suitcase.
The Judd family was gone from the living room–already in the dining room, celebrating.
Which meant she could leave in peace.
Standing outside the Judd family villa, Naomi looked back at the place she had lived for over twenty years.
Through the window, she could hear the birthday song, loud and cheerful, followed by waves of applause and laughter.
She gave a faint smile, turned around, and walked away
Once she got in the car, the first thing she did was send a report through the lab’s official website.
The subject was Sarah and Harvey.
