Chapter 6
My face was burning with pain and I couldn’t hold back my tears anymore. “Why can’t you believe me? I really didn’t hit her.”
“Lorelei, I saw it with my own eyes, but you still want to quibble. How could you become like this
now?”
Aileen shook her head and pulled him. “Dwayne, she is still young. Don’t take her seriously.”
Dwayne looked at me with disgust and I wanted to say something, but the next second there was a foul smell under me, I was stunned and I was nauseous and vomiting.
I almost vomited and had diarrhea and I couldn’t help vomiting continuously.
Aileen fanned herself in disgust. “How disgusting! How can you go to the toilet here?”
Dwayne’s face changed several times and he picked up Aileen and stepped back a few steps. “Lorelei, you really disgust me.”
I was sweating all over, dizzy and nauseous, but I saw Aileen in his arms looking at me with a smug and sarcastic expression.
In an instant, I suddenly understood something, that there was something wrong with the meal just now.
I grabbed Dwayne’s trouser legs, my heart was full of despair and powerlessness. “Dwayne, believe me. There was something wrong with the meal she gave me just now…”
Dwayne was full of impatience and kicked me away. “Stay away from me! You are so dirty.”
Looking at his back as he left without hesitation, I froze in place and couldn’t say a word.
When I was taken away, I almost fainted. Dwayne originally refused to let me go to the hospital thinking it was embarrassing and finally sent me to the hospital after hearing about the child.
The doctor diagnosed me and said that I might have taken laxatives. “Don’t give these things to pregnant women, it will affect the baby.”
Because of this sentence, Dwayne checked the surveillance and found that I didn’t eat anything except that bowl of porridge that day.
He suspected me and asked me angrily, “Lorelei, did you take laxatives without telling me? Dc you really not want to give birth to this child?”
Looking at him like this, I suddenly felt sad. “Why don’t you think there is something wrong with the porridge that Aileen brought to me?”
Dwayne said without thinking, “Aileen is kind–hearted and would never do such a thing.”
Kind–hearted?
I was completely disheartened. “If she can’t, then how can I? I’m the one who’s pregnant. I have no reason to harm my own child.”
But no matter what I said, he didn’t believe me at all, staring at me with extremely cold eyes. “Lorelei, if you dare to hurt my child again, I won’t let you go.”
On the table, Aileen brought the porridge in front of me. “Lorelei, eat the porridge!”
I stared at the porridge on the table, my mind was full of the scene of that night and in an

instant, my stomach ached and I felt nauseous.
Aileen deliberately handed the spoon to my lips. I couldn’t help pushing her away and ran to the bathroom to retch continuously.
Dwayne rushed to the bathroom angrily, grabbed my neck and the moment he saw my face, he couldn’t help but frowned. “Lorelei, what are you pretending again?”
I looked at the pale face in the mirror, no relationship, no greetings, only accusations.
In his eyes, no matter what I did, it was wrong, it was all pretending. At this moment, my heart was completely frozen and there were no more ripples.
I pushed his hand away and looked up at him. “You’re right, I was pretending.”
He was stunned when he heard it, frowned and looked at me. “Lorelei, can you be more
sensible…”
Dwayne’s mother also came over angrily. “Do you know how sad Aileen is? She loves you sc much, but you treat her like this. You are really an ungrateful person.”
