It had been more than half a year since we last saw each other. My dad and Travis both looked so worn out and aged as if they weren’t the same people anymore.

I held my mom’s hand tightly. “Mom, let’s go. I never want to see them again.”
As my mom tried to take me away, my dad and Travis rushed forward, attempting to force me to stay.
“Grace, don’t leave. We don’t want you to go!”
The bodyguards my mom got for me quickly rushed out and pinned them to the ground.
I didn’t look at my dad and Travis. I just got into the car and left.
They ran and chased after us from behind. Even after falling to the ground, they kept on crawling, trying to catch up.
Later, my dad and Travis turned their guilt for me into anger and took it all out on Nicole. They accidentally caused her to die of asphyxiation.
They were caught by the cops while abandoning Nicole’s body. Both my dad and Travis were sentenced to life in prison.
After my dad and Travis went behind bars, they had been wanting to see me.
But I had never gone to visit them, not even once.
