Ava was surprised to hear Stephen. She always thought that lan was a troublemaker and he would not be a good Alpha. Because if an Alpha would waste all of his time with girls, how could he be the leader of a pack? 2

As a sign of her agreement, Abigail nodded her head. Debra looked away from Stephen and walked out of the house. Stephen smirked at her and turned to Ava.
“I am telling the driver to send you home.”
“Hmm.”
Ava was about to walk out of the house, but her steps halted, and she turned to look at the birthday boy one last
time.
He was engaged in conversation with Ronald and did not notice her leaving, which was good for her. She took a deep breath and left the house.
She made her way toward the car that she had arrived in. Debra was already seated in the backseat.
Ava and Abigail climbed into the car and drove away from the residence.
Debra shifted her attention to Ava and said,
“Why is your brother like that?”
Ava was stunned. “Like what?”
“Like so arrogant. Before, we heard them talking about themselves, but now they started to chant about their future Alpha. Did you see how he got mad at me when I said about another bad boy? It looks like he has already made up his mind to set you up with Ian.”
Ava’s lips parted. She could see Debra was mad.
Ava glanced at Abigail, and then both of them laughed at Depra.
“What’s so funny, babes?” Debra asked them.
“Babe, look at yourself. Someone defeats you in a verbal fight. Like seriously? I should give Stephen a prize for this,” Abigail said, laughing hard.
Debra rolled her eyes. “No way. I could have replied to him back, but…”

“But what?” Ava asked when Debra paused.
Debra smirked at her and replied,
“But your brother was right. I secretly agree with him. Dating a bad boy is like you are the queen. No one can do or say anything to you. And the bad boy is not just any boy, but the future Alpha!”
“Dating? You are daydreaming,” Ava muttered.
But her heart raced as she remembered lan confessing to her.

Ava flushed and shook her head. She had made a promise with her heart that she would not forgive Ian.

Ava’s eyes grew wider when she heard her wolf after a long time.
‘You are back!‘ she said to her wolf.
Abigail and Debra understood that she was talking with her wolf. They rubbed her shoulders and rested their heads on them.
When Ava arrived at her house, Abigail and Debra waved at her. They left in the car because the driver would drop them off at their homes.
Ava entered the house and noticed that all of the lights were turned off. She assumed that her parents were asleep.
She moved quietly upstairs to her bedroom.
She shut the door and went to sit on the bed. Her gaze landed on the black jacket she was wearing.
Unknowingly, she lowered her head and sniffed the jacket. Ian’s scent lingered on his jacket. It smelled like rain. It was so refreshing that she wanted to sniff it more.
Ava stopped herself and said,
“No, I can’t be like that. I should stop myself. He was drunk and did all of those things. He will be back to normal in the morning.”
She got up from the bed and walked toward the dressing table. She took off the jacket and looked in the mirror. She bit her lower lip when her eyes drew on her neck. There were a few hickeys visible. She closed her eyes as she remembered Ian’s kisses.
She turned around to see her back in the mirror. The chain was unzipped, allowing her to see her back.
To her surprise, there were no wounds. She had the assumption that they would leave scars. But her back looked
