Ian froze when Ava hugged him from behind. But when he heard her words, he was shocked.
Because of what happened last night, he was in a really bad mood. Because he wanted to show her how much he loved her, he even gave up the championship that belonged to him.
He had come to the race to ease his desperate mind, which refused to let go of thinking about her. The only thing he wanted was a distraction.
However, when he noticed Ava during the race, he was confused. When he saw her, he believed he was hallucinating.
He thought he had gone insane. However, he did not realize that she was actually present until he had won the race and had drifted into the car in a circle.
Although he did not approach her, his gaze was constantly focused on her. He did not get very
close to her.
The reason he came to her was to know why she had come there.
When she said to him that she did not accept Luke, he felt something move inside him. But then he thought he could never be the person she would choose for herself.

“Ian, I–I am sorry. Today, I witnessed you losing the game that you were supposed to win. I shouldn’t have asked you to do something like that.”
Ian lowered his head to look at her arms, which were encircling his torso. It looked like her life depended on holding him tightly.
“Ian, please, don’t leave.”
He grabbed her hands and unwrapped them from his body. He slowly turned around to face
her.
As soon as he made the observation that she was crying, his eyebrows raised. It was impossible for him to see tears in her eyes. It dawned on him that it was his weakness. She was
his weakness.
Looking directly into his eyes, he inquired, “What did you say?”
“I said I saw you lose the game today to prove your love to me.”
In response, he shook his head. “Not that. What did you say before that?”
Now that her eyes were locked with his, Ava was unable to control her tears any longer. Tears

rolled down her cheeks, and she sobbed.

She could not complete her sentence as Ian grabbed her waist to pull her toward him and smashed his lips on hers.
Her eyes widened in response to the sensation of his lips brushing against hers. Her body began to shift backward and eventually came to press against a car.
Ian moved his hand from her waist to the back of her neck.
Ava shut her eyes as he began to move his lips on hers.
She experienced that sensation again, which was truly electrifying. The rhythm of her heartbeat became as rapid as a marathon. She felt a chill run through her entire body.
She slowly lifted her hands and placed her hands on his waist. She fisted his jacket when he sucked her lower lip.
He tilted his head to deepen the kiss.
He pressed his body against hers, which caused her to open her mouth to gasp.
He pushed his tongue inside and kissed her as if there was no tomorrow.
Ava rested her head against the car and responded to the kiss.
As if her response fueled his feelings from inside, he groaned in the kiss.
Without breaking the kiss, he moved her head to the right to make space and kissed her roughly.
It was not gentle anymore.
It was the hunger he had been feeling for her.
All these times, he thought it was one way, but when he realized that she also loved him, he lost all of his control over himself.

It was their first kiss after her confession to him. It felt so different and blissful that she could
never describe it.
“You heard right. I was not lying.”
Ian cupped her cheeks and asked,
“How long?”
Ava was confused by his question. She could not understand it.
“Huh?”
Ian caressed his thumbs on her cheeks and said,
“How long have you been in love with me?”
She looked into his eyes and replied,
“B–Before learning about our matebond.”
Ian stared at her for a while. There was an emotion of regret visible in his
eyes.
“I regret rejecting you. Will you give me a chance to be with you?” He asked her the same question he had asked her last night.
