Ian smiled at Ava. He leaned close to her lips and muttered,
“I love you too.”
He was about to kiss her again, but a voice interrupted them.
“I was like how- what the fuck!”
When Ava and Ian turned their heads, they saw Monica standing a little far from them.
“Oh my my!”
Monica moved closer to them and took a close look at them as she approached.
“By looking at her state, I think you are going to bang her tonight,” Monica said to Ian while smoking. 2
Ava’s eyes grew larger by her words. Ian rolled his eyes and turned to Monica, hiding Ava behind him.
“Stop teasing her. What are you doing here?” Ian asked her.
“Bro, you were literally making out against my car,” she said, motioning him to the car where Ava’s body was pressed.
As quickly as she could, Ava moved away from the car. With a chuckle, Monica asked,
“She is cute. How long will you keep her with you?”
Ian glared at her and replied,
“Forever.”
Monica appeared to be shocked.
During this time, Ava turned her gaze to Ian’s back. He was so tall that he was standing in front of her like a shield.
The sound of him saying “forever” caused her heart to leap inside of her chest.
“Bro, are you serious?” Monica said, peering at Ava with a shocked face.
Taking Ava’s hand, Ian began to walk away from Monica. Monica looked at Ava with a surprised expression on her face as she walked beside her.
It was really tough to believe that Ian Dawson was going to be with a girl forever. In fact, hearing him say such things sounded so unfamiliar and strange.

“What about the next race?” Monica asked.
“I am not sure. Maybe when I will be in a bad mood again. But I don’t think that day will come very soon,” Ian replied without looking back at her.
Ava blushed, realizing what Ian had meant.
When they had resumed their walk, Ian released his grip on Ava’s hand.
People were looking at them with curious glances. Some of them began to talk about how they thought Ava was a fortunate girl to have Ian’s attention by her side.
“Steph and your friends are furious with me,” Ava said, looking at the ground while walking.

“It’s okay. They will calm down soon,” Ian muttered, walking together with her.
She raised her head to look at his side profile. He was very handsome. She could not stop smiling as she recalled him telling her he loved her.
She glanced at his hand. Her right hand slowly touched his left hand.
As they were passing a less crowded area where no one was looking at them, Ava lifted her hand and held his arm.
Ian glanced at her hand and then at her face.
She felt embarrassed. She scolded herself for doing that. Did he not like her touch?
But she felt his hand over hers.
Ian placed his hand on hers for a moment, then tucked his hands into his pockets.
Ava moved a little closer to him while walking together.
She felt the cold breeze touching her face. She could feel a muddy smell as if it were going to
rain.
She was liking everything around her. It was as if everything had changed.
She forgot every pain and struggle in her life. There was a weight in her chest from not getting the boy she had loved, but it lifted today, bringing her peace.
“Where are we going?” she asked in a low tone.
“I don’t know,” he replied with a smile.
He was in a very good mood. Her confession made his anger break and gave him something that he had never thought of. He thought he had lost her, and she was in love with Luke.

But he was wrong. He could finally prove his love to her.
In his heart, he did not lose today, but he won her heart and got back the person who the moon goddess made his mate.
“Do you want to go for a ride?” he asked, taking a pause.
Ava saw him motioning her to his sports car. She glanced at the car.
She noticed girls were taking pictures with it, and some of them were leaning against it.
So Ava shook her head and replied,
“No.”
Ian tried to understand her thought. He assumed she did not like to go for a ride, so he nodded his head and said,
“It’s okay if you don’t like to…”
She immediately looked at him and said,
“No, I would love to. But I don’t want to go there.”
Ian raised a brow and glanced at his car again. He let out a chuckle and asked,
“Are you jealous that they will surround me if I go there?”
Ava looked away and shrugged her shoulders.
“That depends on you. If you won’t let them come close to you, then you would not dare.”
She felt him putting his hand on her head. “Not bad, Nerd. You know how to push people away then.”
She glanced at him. But the next moment she took a step back. Because he leaned down to her level and said,
“Take it as a warning or an alarm. If any boy will dare to touch you again, I will beat him to death. So don’t let them get close to you.”
For once, she saw the very serious face of Ian Dawson. However, seeing her frightening face, the next moment he grinned and winked at her.
“You should know your lover doesn’t like it.”
Her heart skipped a beat when he called himself her lover.
She stared at him with lost eyes. Her heart began to beat faster.

He tilted his head. She closed her eyes when his nose brushed against her cheek. His lips touched her ear, which caused her to let out a shaky breath.
He kissed her earlobe and whispered in her ear,
“If you keep looking at me like that, I swear I will not be able to control myself tonight.”
