Ava could not disagree with lan. Indeed, her brother was very protective of her.
“Yes, he is the best brother. I am very lucky to have him in thy life.”
Ian raised a brow and gazed at her.
“Yeah, that’s true. But what about the restrictions he is going to place in front of our path?”
“Our path?” she asked with a confused look.
Ian sighed and turned his head back to the road. His eyes were focused on the road. His lip curved a little.
“Baby, you are really innocent. I am worried that I will ruin your innocence.”
Ava’s cheeks flushed when she heard him. She looked away from him.
The fresh wind touched her face, making her feel refreshed.
She could not believe that everything was starting to get better.
The sky was cloudy. The smell of the ground was giving an indication that it was going to rain soon.
Ava raised her gaze and looked at the beautiful sky. Even though it was nighttime, the white clouds were visible. The black clouds were slowly moving to hide the white clouds.
Ava was busy with the beauty of nature.
“Don’t worry. I will send you home before the rain.”
She heard Ian’s assured voice, which caused her to move her gaze away from the sky.
She looked at him and fixed her gaze at him for a long time. Her eyes were observing his handsome features.
Her gaze slowly moved to his tattooed hands. His jacket was hiding his new tattoo.
She took a deep breath and asked,
“Can I ask you something?”
“Anything.”
He sounded so serene and collected. It was as if he turned into someone else, someone who was very good in attitude and manners.
“Your new tattoo… I want to know the meaning behind it.”
She noticed him glancing at his hand. He nodded his head and replied,
“Sure. When we arrive at your house, I will tell you.”
Ava’s lips broke into a smile. “Okay.”
Later, during the whole ride, there was a sweet silence throughout the car.
When they arrived at Ava’s house, Ian stopped the car.
He got out of the car and came to open the door for Ava.
Ava blushed when he extended his hand in front of her. She placed her hand on his and stepped out of the car. He

closed the door and leaned against it without letting go of her hand.
She also did not try to remove her hand from his grip. She lowered her head and stood near him. “Do you know how hot you look today?”
Her heart started to beat faster. Her cheeks turned reddened
She blinked her eyes and assumed her cheeks looked like tomatoes because they were heated.
Ian let go of her hand and lifted it. He held her chin and lifted it to make her look at him.
Her eyes locked with his. He stared into her eyes and said,
“Remember when I told you that I would like it if you dressed up for me?”

She remembered the night when she went out with Luke, and later she had to go with fan for Stephen. That night, he had told her about it.
“Do you know that every time I see you, my heart only says one thing?”
She gulped and asked,
“W–What?”
He smirked at her and leaned down to her face. His mouth moved to her ear, and he whispered,
“Mine.”
She closed her eyes. The way he said “mine,” it was quite attractive.
“You said you would tell me about your tattoo,” she reminded him.
He moved back and uttered,
“I see, you are quite interested in tattoos.”
She shook her head and replied quickly,
“No, it’s not like that. I don’t really like tattoos.”
His one eyebrow shot up. “So you mean you don’t like my tattoos?”
After saying that, he glanced at his hands.
“I never said that,” she replied.
“Oh, yes. You were implying that you dislike me because I have tattoos. Basically, you don’t like me at all.” Her eyes widened. When did she say that? She scolded herself for saying what caused a misunderstanding.
“No, I really like you. In fact, I lov-”
She paused in the middle when Ian broke into laughter.
“You are so cute,” he said while laughing.
Her eyes moved to his lips. The way he smiled was very charming.
Suddenly they heard a sound of thunder.
She flinched and immediately hugged him.

He stopped laughing when her body touched his. He lowered his head and looked at her.
His hands moved to wrap his arms around her waist.
Her eyes were shut tight.
There was a cold breeze that began to flow. She embraced in tightly.
Putting his chin on her head, he questioned, “Are you afraid of thunder?”
She opened her eyes and realized that they were really close to each other. There was no distance between them.
Her breasts were pressed against his hard chest, and his strong arms were tightly encircling around her waist.
She tried to move, but he tightened his grip.
She raised his head to look at him. He lowered his head.
Their noses brushed against each other. He tilted his head and moved closer to her lips.
She closed her eyes once again.
The moment his lips touched hers, she tightened her fists against his shirt.
It was a short kiss for a moment.
He loosened his grip around her waist and said,
“The tattoo symbolizes pain, the pain of being separated from your love.”
Ava was taken aback. She stared at him for a while. He did not break eye contact until he let out a deep breath and kissed her forehead.
“I was really upset when you were away from me. I almost lost hope and felt like I was losing myself. I really love you, Ava.”
Her heart was jolted by his confession. She felt that he never stopped himself from confessing his love for her.
“AVA?”
They could hear a voice calling her from behind. Ava turned her head to see her brother approaching them.
She pushed Ian and stepped back. She blushed, thinking that his brother had seen them like that.
She looked at Ian, who was smiling at her, and said in a low voice,
“G–Good night, bye.”
