Ava lowered her head. It caused his nose to brush against her cheek. She felt shiver, but she did not react in front of others.
The situation was something she could not react to.
She was feeling embarrassed. She scolded Jan in her head for coming this close and made her feel like this in front of others.
Ian let out a chuckle and moved away from her. He stood up straight and put his hand on her head.
She felt him patting her head.
“Now eat calmly. If any of them tease you again, I will beat him, okay?“.
Ava did not know what to say or react. He sounded caring and concerned.
He removed his hand from her head and walked back to his chair.
“Such a caring man you got!” Stephen muttered to Ava while shaking his head.
Ava did not know if she had gotten a new disease because her cheeks had been getting heated frequently recently.
How could she blush all the time?

Ava finished her food hurriedly and rose up from her chair.
Before leaving the table, she glanced at others and said,
“Goodnight, guys.”

Everyone said goodnight to her except Ian. He was looking at her while sitting on his chair.
She took a quick glance at him before rushing upstairs.
While heading to her room, she heard Ronald’s loud voice from downstairs.
“Eat something, dude. You look like a fool in love who doesn’t know anything except staring at his woman.”
Ava chewed her lower lip and rushed to her bedroom.
She fell on her bed and looked at the ceiling with a bright smile.
“This boy is killing me,” she mumbled to herself.
She twisted on the bed and covered her face with her palms
For her, everything changed drastically. Before last night, she was trying to avoid all the feelings she had for him. But after confessing to each other, she started to feel shy in front of him. She became soft again, just like before.
However, that did not mean she lost her self–confidence. She was strict from the start. She would not give in so easily, even if they had confessed to each other. She would take time to learn him and understand his lifestyle.
She wanted to be in a relationship that would be long–lasting. She wanted to be with him forever.
Since they were no longer mates, she was afraid to step faster.
She sat up and reached out to her bag. She pulled out her phone.
She went to her friends‘ Messenger group. Her smile faded when she realized that Luke was in the group.

She stared at Luke’s name for a while.
She remembered how he got mad at her. But what she did with Luke was also bad. She should not have asked him to date. Though she apologized to him yesterday, she thought as a friend, she should talk to him again.
It was midnight.
Ava was still awake.
There were so many things roaming in her mind.
She had been using her phone for a long time. So she was feeling sleepy.
As she was about to close her eyes to go to dreamland, she beard a knock on her door.
Her eyes widened. She sat up on the bed and looked at her door,,
She heard another knock.
She thought it was one of the maids, so she got out of bed and said,
“Coming.”
She went to open the locked door with a yawn.
However, as soon as she opened the door, her mouth remained open as she froze.
Ian was standing outside the door.
He was in casual clothes. He was wearing black sweatpants and a loose black t–shirt.
With a wide open mouth, she shifted her gaze to his clothing.
Even with casual clothes, he looked hot.
Ian chuckled and moved closer to her. He placed a finger under her chin and closed her mouth.
She immediately moved back and pursed her lips.
After composing herself, she said,
“Y–You!”
“You don’t like to see me?” he asked, folding his arms against his chest.
Ava glanced at his biceps, which bulged because of the folding arms.
“I–I mean…”
She paused, not knowing what to reply.
“I was feeling bored. Everyone was asleep. So I thought, Why not go to see my nerd?”
She lifted her gaze, and their eyes met.
She saw his eyes slowly move down to her body.
That time she realized that she was in her pajamas. She changed out of her baggy clothes and into pajama shorts an hour ago.

She saw fan’s eyes move to her legs. His gaze almost made her rub her legs against each other.
He drew his lower lip between his teeth. She gazed at his mole, which was located in the middle under his bottom lip.
She looked away from him and said,
“I–Ian-”
He interrupted her and asked,
“Do you know how difficult it is for me to live under the same roof as you but in a different room?”
She looked at him again. His eyes were back to hers.
His eyes were digging on hers, making her feel like hiding herself.
He took a step slowly, causing her to step back.
She thought he had come to stay the night with her.
She kept stepping back. He also did not stop moving forward.
Her back almost touched the wall behind her when he grabbed her hand and pulled her to him.
Her body pressed against his. She gasped and looked at him with wide eyes.
He leaned in close to her face. She closed her eyes, thinking that he was going to kiss her.
But instead of kissing her, he moved his mouth to her ear and whispered,
“I remember about the slow step thing. So don’t worry, my Nerd.”
She opened her eyes. But she had to close them again because his scent was so appealing that she almost sniffed his neck.
He moved his head back to look at her closed eyes.
“Open your eyes,” he said with a commanding tone.
She immediately opened her eyes, as if her wolf had submitted to him.
“Will you go on a coffee date with me?”
She was dumbfounded.
“N–Now?”
He smiled at her and nodded his head.
“Yeah, right now.”
