Stephen gave lan a nod and left the room. He did not forget to close the door behind. Ava glanced at lan for a second, then immediately closed her eyes,
Ian was standing next to the bed. He was looking at Ava without saying anything.
After a while, he reached for the blanket on the bed and covered her body.
The moment Ava felt the warm blanket cover her body, she felt relaxed. She felt comfortable and warm.
She did not open her eyes, feeling losing consciousness slowly. It was due to her fever and headache.
She felt the bed dip slightly beside her. She could smell Jan’s scent,
Suddenly, she started to feel good inside. Maybe it was because of him.
Her heart skipped a beat when she felt Ian’s hand on her head.
His hand slowly moved to her forehead, checking her fever.
She wanted to sleep with his touch. It was so calming that she wanted to pull him toward her and sleep in his arms.
Ian lowered his head and muttered close to her ear in a low tone.
“Are you mad at me?”
Her breath hitched when his breath touched her ear. She had no idea how this boy had such the ability to make her feel like this even when she was ill.
“So mad that you won’t talk to me?”
His question and soft tone caused her to open her eyes.
She turned her head to look at him. He was very close to her face.
She pushed him lightly and took a deep breath to compose herself
“You doubt me,” she murmured.
Ian looked into her eyes and replied,
“I can’t tell you how my blood boiled when he hugged you. I could see how you hugged him back. I was upset. You didn’t even want to sit with me. You were ignoring me the whole time. I thought he changed your mind.”
Ava shook her head. She was about to say something but the door opened. She and Ian turned their heads and saw Stephen with his friends entering the room.
Ronald looked at Ava and said,
“Heard you are sick.”
Ava glanced at Ronald and shook her head. “No, I am fine.”
Cyrus smirked and asked,
“No, you were not. But after getting this close with our future Alpha, you look definitely fine.”
Ava blushed. She was already red with a fever.

“I talked to the doctor. He told me to give her these. She is fortunate because we had these medications in our home. It’s because our mom is a doctor so we don’t need to worry I guess.”
Han raised a brow. “If we had not had them, I would have called my family doctor to have them delivered here personally.”
He sounded really dominant. All of his friends nodded their heads and decided to leave the couple alone.
Stephen turned his gaze at Ava and said,
“Maids are preparing porridge for you.”
Ava shook her head, refusing to eat anything. She pulled her blanket up to cover her head.
Others chuckled at her reaction, except Ian.
Stephen left the room along with others. He knew Ian would take care of Ava.
When everyone left, Ian waited for Ava to move the blanket away from her face.
However, a few minutes passed, and Ava did not move. Ian realized she had fallen asleep.
He slowly shifted the blanket and looked at her face.
He raised his hand and gently caressed her cheek. His fingers moved up to her eyelashes. He stroked her face with his knuckles and whispered,

A few maids came into the room. They were shocked to see lan in Ava’s room.
“I will help her to eat,” a maid said to Ian while holding the tray of Ava’s food.
Jan gestured for her to put the tray down on the bedside table.
When the maid did what she was told, Ian signaled the maids to the door.
“Leave.”
They hurriedly left the room, as they had no intention to offend Ian Dawson.
