Ian’s cold voice made Ava come out of the flashback of thoughts. She looked at him in the mirror with a shocked look. She saw disappointment in his eyes, as well as something she did not want to think about, which was hatred.
She immediately turned around to face him.

A flash of rage swept in his eyes. His face was getting fiercer.
Ava was startled.
She held his wrist to remove his hand from her neck. But his eyes shifted to the hickeys on her neck, blazing his anger more. His grip tightened around her neck.
She felt breathless. She parted her lips, but the air was not getting inside her mouth when she tried to inhale. Her eyes almost roll back from the pain in her neck.
Her eyes welled up with tears, which slowly flowed down her cheeks.

She closed her eyes, thinking that it would be the end for her.
