Ava blinked her eyes a few times when she heard Cora. She turned her head and said,

The other women burst into laughter. Cora laughed and shook her head.

Ava stared at Cora, not knowing what to reply. Cora was the assistant general manager. She had a solid reputation within the company.
Selena, another woman, cleared her throat. She managed advertising. She said,

Crystal, the brand promotion department’s head, nodded her head to agree with it.

Ava returned her gaze out of the window while listening to the women’s gossip.
