The sunlight fell on the room, dimming it. The man’s face was illuminated as the ray slowly descended onto the bed.
It did not bother him at all. He continued to sleep, although the sunlight was all over his face.
However, a knock on the door caused his brows to twitch. His brows arched as he could hear the people outside. “Alpha”
“Alpha, wake up. It’s time for lunch.”
There were two maids outside the door, giggling as they were arging who would call him first.
“Alpha”
The man’s eyes flung open. His cold eyes gaze at the ceiling. He frowned and turned his head to the door.
He heard giggling again. Then a maid spoke again.
“Alpha-
He cut her off as he let out an angry yell.
“Fuck off!”
The loud, angry tone echoed throughout the room, making the maids shudder inside. Their bodies began to shake with fear. They hurriedly left, terrified that their Alpha would lash out at them.
Inside the room,
The man stared at the ceiling for a while. His eyes had the coldness of ice. Even waking up from slumber could not alleviate the chill inside them.
He sat up on the bed and grabbed his phone from the nightstand.
He checked the message from his assistant. He had sent him all the articles that were told about his departure to another pack. “Alpha Ian is going to visit the Thunder Howl Pack.”
He read one of the articles and scoffed at it. People had no other work except stalking his schedule. It might be those stalker girls who always appeared in front of him out of nowhere, just to see him for once.
He tossed the phone onto the bed.
He was shirtless. So when he moved his hands, his muscles, which were full of tattoos moved as well.
He rose from the bed, and the ray shone down on his abs, glowing them.
He looked like a Greek god coming out of mythology. If the women had seen him in this state, they would have passed out.
But he did not give them the opportunity. He was Ian Dawson, the man that every woman desired but could not have.
As he approached the closet, he hissed, causing him to stop.
He moved his hands, trying to avoid a pain.
A disappointment shone in his cold eyes as he turned his way and walked toward the mirror.
He turned around and glanced at his upper back through the mirror.
He looked at the wounds that resembled tree branches. It looked like art on his bare back.

It almost reached the waistband of his black sweatpants.
His black eyes turned red as he gritted his teeth and muttered,
“Not again.”
It had been years since these wounds appeared out of nowhere in his back. It was quite painful. It looked like tree branches that kept moving while turning red in color, as if ripping his skin while moving.
His fists tightened as it reminded him of someone he did not want to remember.
His face turned fierce as hestared at his wounds in the mirror.
Four years was a very long time to forget about someone.
People even forget about the people who had died years ago, so forgetting about the people who did not exist in your presence was easier.
But these wounds were the only thing that made him remember about the person most of the night. It was as if he wanted to forget about her, but something inside him refused to let him forget the betrayal.
He looked away from his wounds and went to the bathroom to take a shower.
After putting on a black suit, he left his bedroom.
When he went downstairs, his mother approached him and asked,
“Did you scold the maids again? What’s wrong with you, Ian? Why are you so cold toward women? They will die in fear.”
Ian did not look at her and replied,
“Then tell them not to approach me. I am their Alpha, not their favorite hero from any movie they want to draw my attention
to.”
His words were not only directed to the maids of his house but also every woman who wanted to approach him.
Before Carolina could say anything, Alpha Martin entered the living room.
He noticed his son, who stood near the staircase with a powerful appearance. He used to think in the past that Ian was a careless boy who could not handle his pack.
Who would have expected his son to become the most powerful Alpha? He did not only own a few pack companies under his name but also won a war a few years ago. Everyone was surprised that at such a young age, he had a pack under his command.. But he then demonstrated his business skills. He possessed a miraculous presence.
Alpha Martin started to approach Ian and said, “I heard you are leaving for the Thunder Howl Pack.”
“Mmm”
Ian let out a small tone, not showing any interest in talking about it.
“What about your officials? They are currently on leave.”
“No need to bother them. It’s not about the pack but the pack business. My assistant will go with me.”
After saying that, Ian started to walk toward the front gate.
Carolina’s voice came from behind. “You drank a lot last night and didn’t have your dinner. At least have lunch with us.”
Ian did not stop his steps as he replied,
“Not interested.”
Alpha Martin and Carolina stared at their son’s back and let out a long breath. Their son did not like to have meals with his

When lan walked out of the house, he noticed his assistant, Neon, was waiting for him inside his car. Seeing him coming out, Neon hurriedly got out of the car and opened the back door for him
Ian got in the car. The driver glanced at the rear mirror and asked,
“Alpha, where to?”
Ian gazed at his expensive watch to check the time, then replied in cold tone,
“Airport.”
