Ava woke up early as usual. She went to the company. She started new project, which was for an annual ball. She was designing the costumes for the young models. After the showcase, people would start to buy clothes from the company.
Ava suddenly thought of opening her own brand. She chuckled and shook the thought away.
Opening a brand meant investing millions to make it successful. Sice she was under Erickson Industries, people liked her designs. It had brand value, and she got exposure in just a few months.
Without this company, she would be nothing.
Erom looking for the best quality clothes to designing them aesthetically, Ava liked to do everything on her own. Though she had many employees under her and an assistant as well, it did not lessen the pressure of her work.
When it was break time, Ava went to the cafeteria and sat at the table with the familiar ladies.
“I heard Freya is back.”
Ava started to eat while listening to the gossip girls.
“She was out of the pack for a long time. Do you think something happened between her and Alpha Dane?”
“Wait, now it makes sense. He terminated the contract, and she left the pack.”
“Guys, relax. She did not leave. She sometimes goes overseas for vacation. Her assistant and my assistant are friends on social media. She said Freya was outside for a trip. Now she is back.”
“Oh.”
“Though they never revealed their relationship to others. What do you think? Can we see her and Alpha together?”
Ava stopped eating when she heard the woman who had just spoken up.
The woman noticed her momentarily pause. She asked her,
“What are your thoughts, Ava?”
Ava sat up straight and shrugged her shoulders.
“Who knows?”
“Don’t you think in the last few years Alpha has changed a lot? Even someone else snatched his badboy title. Alpha Dane should cover this up as soon as possible.”
Ava frowned at her. “How? By showing a merciless attitude? He is fine how he is right now. The title is not even a title but a negative reputation. Why is everyone so obsessed with it?”
The women around the table looked shocked by her angry tone. It was the first time Ava talked so angrily to them.
One of them smiled at Ava politely and said,
“Let’s change the topic. Ava, did you hear the news of our rival Alpha?”
Ava looked away from her and shook her head. She lied, although she had read the news.
“Ava, you don’t know how dangerous Alpha Ian is, He is our rival Alpha. Everyone used to say there was a rivalry between Apa Dane and him. But recently he decided to come to our pack. I wonder what his purpose is. Alpha Dane never felt the need to go to his pack. Then why does he suddenly want to come here?”
Cora’s lips curled into a smirk. “We are lucky to see him. We had only heard of him, just as his pack members had only heard of Alpha Dane. I doubt he is as attractive as our Alpha. But we can still give it a shot.”

The women laughed. But Ava’s face turned solemn, which they did not notice.
She put the spoonful of food into her mouth and said angrily,
“He can never beat Alpha Dane. He does not have that ability, which Alpha Dane has. He is just…”

One of them was about to ask her about it. But she froze when she goticed who was standing behind Ava’s seat.
Everyone noticed that except Ava. They gulped and immediately lowered their heads.
Alpha Dane was standing behind Ava, looking at her.
Cora, who was sitting beside Ava, glanced at Alpha Dane and then at her. She cleared her throat and asked a question as if she had not yet noticed Alpha Dane.
“You seem very fond of Alpha Dane. Are you one of his fangirls? Tell us. Are you stalking him?”
Ava stopped chewing when she realized that she had spoken more than she should.
She swallowed her food and replied,
“No, I am not his fangirl. But in my opinion, he is a good man. If he trusts someone, he believes in them no matter what the situation is.”
All the women thought she was talking about the business. However, Alpha Dane knew what she was talking about. She was talking about an incident from six months ago.
His brown eyes looked away from her as he walked past the table. The women hurriedly got up
“Alpha”
Ava froze in her seat when she noticed him.
‘He was here all the time?‘ she thought, gulping a glass of water.
After office hours,
Ava left the company. She did not work for late hours because she had to go to the nightclub.
As she entered the club, Fancy handed her the uniform that waitresses wore there.
Ava quickly changed her clothes and looked at her dress.

It was a dress that stopped in her mid–thighs. It was tight enough to highlight her body’s curves. She wondered why they all wore these clothes. They could wear whatever dress made them feel comfortable because it was only about serving drinks.
Ava dismissed the thought and pulled her hair back into a high ponytail. She stepped out of the dressing room and approached
the manager.
When the manager saw her, he appeared stunned.
“Never seen such a hot waitress before?” Ava asked sarcastically.
But the man took it seriously and shook his head, murmuring, “No”
Ava sneered at him and said,
“Don’t waste my time. I am here for Rina. Now tell me what to do.

“Some VIP guests have arrived from outside the pack. You need to serve them.”
He gave her a shoulder pat to boost her confidence and handed her tray of drinks.
Ava headed upstairs with her head held high. She entered the VIP room. Suddenly she felt strange, as if a dark gaze were on her. She ignored it and placed the tray on the table.
However, as soon as she looked at the men with confidence, her gaze shifted to the man sitting on a single couch.
Her whole body froze inside, causing all of the color to drain from her face.
