“Alpha, Isn’t it Miss Taylor?”
The driver said to Alpha Dane as he glanced at the woman beside the road.
Dane was using his phone. But when he heard his driver, his eyes moved from the phone and shifted on the road.
“It looks like she is hurt,” the driver said, slowing down the speed little.
Dane’s eyes darkened when he noticed what his driver was saying was right.
It was indeed Ava. She was limping. She was hurt. But she looked lost.
Just as the driver tried to drive past her, he suddenly spoke up.
“Stop the car.”
The driver hurriedly stopped the car after hearing him.
Dane did not wait for his driver to open the door for him. He got out of the car and walked around the car to approach Ava.
His eyes paused at her dress up. His eyes, which were dark, turned chilly as he grabbed her arm and turned her to him. “What the hell is wrong with you?”
Ava was flinched by his cold tone. His yell pulled her back to reality
Tears rolled down her cheeks, which he had not noticed yet. His eyes were on her uniform, which was not appropriate for her.
“Did you start working in a nightclub as a waitress? What did you do-”

After crying for a while, she felt Dane’s scent on her nostrils, which caused her to feel warmth. It calmed her down.
When she realized that she was embracing him, she quickly broke the hug.
She tried to take a step back, but his hands stopped her. He raised his hands and cupped her face.
He raised her head to make her look at him and asked,
“Who dares to make you cry?”
Rage was clearly audible in his tone.

She exhaled deeply and looked away from his brown eyes.
She pushed his hands lightly and wiped her cheeks.

She lied to him. She did not want to bring up lan to make him angrier. He was not fond of him at all.

He took off his suit jacket and wrapped it around her shoulders.
Ava was stunned by his action. She glanced at his jacket and mumbled,

“No, you do.”
He said, pulling the jacket over her dress to hide it. It was his jacket, so it was long, covering her body.
It reminded her of the moment when Ian was watching the other man touching her. But he did not even react.
Ava shook her thoughts, trying to forget this night like a nightmare.
“I can go back home. Don’t be concerned for me.”
As soon as she finished saying that, her body lifted up in the air.
With wide eyes, she hugged his neck.
“I am going to drop you home,” he said.
He walked to the back seat and opened the car door. He put her inside the car and sat next to her.
A blush appeared on her cheeks when she realized that he could have just told her to sit in the car. His car was only two feet away
from them.
The driver started the car. Dane ordered him to take them to her house, which was far away from this road.
Ava leaned her back against the seat, holding the jacket tightly.
She slowly turned her head to look at Dane.
A smile spread on her lips when she thought about how they started to become close.<
They had not had a good relationship in the first two years. He was the arrogant man everyone used to call. He was actually a badass who everyone wanted to avoid in fear. However, as time passed, she came across the bad boy.
She had a thought to change him into a good boy. He was not a school kid whose success was determined by exam results. He was a hella angry man who did not listen to anyone. He had some past, and he wanted to dominate others as well.
She tried a little to make him understand that being dominant was not the only way to live. Sometimes he would have to love the people around him.
They were not friends, nor did they have any relationship. Until one night, an incident changed everything.
