There was no pain visible in his eyes, making him appear very strong.
Ava gulped, trying to calm herself.
But then he grabbed her hand. He smirked and asked,
“What about pouring it on your hand, Ava Adler?”
“No, no. Please!”
She tried to stop him but he had already poured it on her hand.
She thought her hand would burn totally. She was about to scream when her hand started feeling a little burning.
But she was shocked when the burning stopped a few seconds later
“Not burning anymore?” he asked, pushing her hand away.
She stared at her hand with a pair of surprised eyes.
How did the silver water not hurt her too much?
Silver was something that werewolves‘ bodies could not withstand It Scorched their skin. It took some time to heal. Because of this, silver stakes were used in the wars to kill them. If it pierced or came close to a person’s heart, there was no way to heal it and save them.
“How?” she murmured.
Then Alpha Dane told her who she actually was. She was a werewolf who was a witch as well. She could push the effects of silver, unlike the other werewolves who felt hurt by it.
Ava recalled the day when this pack’s people got into a fight with Stephen. They used ropes to tie him and it was dumped with silver water. It hurt Stephen and he could not untie it until she went and helped him with untying it.
She was not hurt much by the silver water that night, and her wounds healed so quickly that she could not focus on them.
So did that mean there were many hints for her that she could not grab?

She heard Alpha Dane and returned her attention to him.

She glared at him, shoving her fear aside. She could not hear anything wrong about her mother. She said,

That time Ava realized why her mother always told her to stay away from this pack’s people. She might be aware that this pack would want her back because of the bloodline that ran on her body. She was a hybrid who could help this pack in many ways.
Ava did not want to go back to the Mystic Shadow Pack anyway. So she decided to stay in this pack. If her father wanted to help these people rule this pack, then why not?
She then saw Alpha Dane getting up from the couch. His wound looked serious. He rolled up the sleeve of his shirt and shook his hand slightly.
She could tell he was hurt, but he never showed it.
“What will I do here?”
Without looking at her, he replied,
“I will make your cousin, Griffin, the pack’s royal wizard. You can stay with him and discover who you are. You can lend a hand when this pack requires it. After all, as a member of the hybrid family, it is your responsibility to help others. That is why you are one of the few people who were born as both a werewolf and witch.
“How long can I stay in this pack?” she murmured.
He looked down at her and replied,
“Forever.”

Ava gave Dane a cautious look. She knew he wanted her to stay here. But she believed if she wanted to leave for some time he would not mind. He never caged her here. She herself chose to stay here.
“Dane, I need to go back to the Mystic Shadow Pack.”
Her tone was soft, trying to calm this man.
He let go of the chair and looked at her.
“You have to? Or do you need to?”
She gulped, hearing his direct question. So she replied truthfully,
“I need to. My mom is not well. She wants to see me. I really love my mom.”
He fixed his gaze on her for a moment then said,
“Ask your mom to come here. I will not harm her. She is also a part of your family. It’s a different thing that after finding her mate in another pack, she changed her mind and did not return..” he murmured.
Ava lowered her head and mumbled,
“Please let me go.”
He lifted his hand to raise her chin. He looked at her and asked,

After having a great time at dinner, he drove her home.
“After coming back, I will answer your question,” she said shyly before opening the car door.
He smiled at her and replied,
