Ava kept checking her watch as she sat in the airport terminal, watching people come and go.
Ava was waiting for her flight, which had been delayed for an hour. Her eyes kept drifting over the departure board. She tapped her foot, waiting for the flight for what felt like forever.
She was worried for her mother. She had promised her mother that she would go back to the pack.
Just like how Dane said to her, he booked a ticket for her. She would leave the Thunder Howl Pack in some time.
When the time came, she boarded the plane and settled into her seat. She recalled the day when she had come to this pack.
During the flight, she thought about her family. Would they be happy after seeing her?
When the plane landed, Ava took her time getting off.
As soon as she stepped out of the airport and stood outside, the breeze touched her body, making her shiver.
She closed her eyes and took in the smell of the air. It was the smell of the ground of this pack.
Suddenly she started to feel nervous in her heart.
This pack, this pack’s people…
Everything was making her remember her past.
Her mind drifted back to the past. She recalled the day she had left the pack.
“Alpha has returned to the pack!”
She heard some people’s voices.
She turned around and found some reporters coming in her direction. Many girls were also with them, though they did not look
like reporters.
She was startled by the rush. She moved aside when she noticed they almost pushed her for walking past her.
She turned her head to see where they were going.
Her heart skipped a beat when she saw a man in a black suit coming out of the airport.
He was wearing black sunglasses so no one could see his cold eyes.
There was an aura around him alarming others not to mess with him.
Everyone could feel the tension around the air in his presence.
Behind him were five men. Ava recognized one of their faces. It was his assistant that she had seen in the club. But the other four men were his bodyguards.
“It’s hard to follow Alpha Ian. May we have some time? We won’t take more than five minutes,” a reporter said.
Ava realized that the reporters were not from this pack. They had come from other packs just to see him.
“I am not a celebrity who you should follow. Tell your Alphas to do something so that my reporters can go to follow them as well,
Jan said with a chilly tone.
The reporters were stunned. They were aware of his cold nature. They looked frightened too. After all, they were in front of the Alpha whom their head Alphas were also afraid of.
“We only wanted to ask if you have time to visit our pack for once
Assistant Neon stopped them by saying,

“Alpha doesn’t have time for this.”
The guards pushed the reporters aside, leading lan to head to his car.
Ava stared at the man. He looked very strong and arrogant.
He was always like that–a famous bad boy with high authority. Now he turned into a famous Alpha with dominance. There was an undeniable power about him that made others feel fear around him.
Ian halted in the middle of his way to his car.,
Ava quickly looked away from him and hailed a cab for herself. She did not look around to look at him. She got in the cab and left for Gamma Harper’s house.
She glanced at the side mirror and noticed that Ian was getting in his car.
She stared at the mirror for a while until the car turned to the left and the view changed.
The bitter words that Ian had said to her in the Thunder Howl Pack still echoed in her head. He had broken her heart countless times Now she would not let him do that again. Because she had gotten over him now. She did not care who he was or what he thought about her.
She came here not for his warning, but for her mother’s health.
She called her mother to find out where she was.
She kept her arrival a secret in order to surprise her.
Her mother said she was at home.
Ava arrived at the house. She paid the cab driver and took out her luggage.
As she walked toward the main door, memories of the past began to overwhelm her.
She looked at the cars that were parked there. She had many memories there. She shoved the memories of the past aside and went to knock on the door.
She knocked twice, and a maid opened the door.
The maids were surprised to see her after four years.
“Young miss, you are back!”
Ava was impatient to meet her mother. She smiled as she noticed the maid was happy to see her.
“Yeah, I am back.”
She looked inside. Nothing had changed in the house.
She gazed at the maid and asked,
“Where is Mom? How is she right now?”
The maid gave her a puzzled expression. Ava failed to notice it.
“Don’t worry, Mom will be fine because I’m back,” she said to the maid with an assuring tone.
She rushed inside, dashing towards her mother’s bedroom.
“Mom…”
She opened the door and found her mother talking to her phone. So she paused.
She stopped there and looked at her mother carefully.

“Yeah, right. I know she must be worried. But I had no way except calling her urgently.”
Ava was shocked. Her mother looked totally fine. She did not look sick in any way. By the way, she was talking, it looked like she was talking to one of her friends.
“Ava will be back very soon.”
Her mother laughed a little. But when she turned to the door, she froze.
She could not believe her eyes. Her daughter was back.
“AVA!”
