Jan looked away from Ava and turned to Ronald.
Ronald shut his mouth for a moment when he saw his dark gaze. But later, he let out a laugh to ease the heated atmosphere.
It was true that in the past four years, lan had changed a lot. He was no longer his friend, who always listened to him or argued with him. He had become his head Alpha, who only liked to order and wanted the work done in time. He did not like any excuses or do any kind of actions that included emotions.
“What were you saying?” lan asked.
The darkness in his eyes faded as if they listened to liis mind.
Paul and Cyrus glanced at the dance floor. They did not let out any words.
“I didn’t say anything. But do you know how long you were staring at her?” Ronald said.
Ian returned his gaze to Ava and muttered,
“If it were you, would you let go of your culprit that easily, Beta Ronald?”
Ronald was stunned by the question.
Would he let go?
He did not know the answer because he was not in his shoes.
“Since she is here, why don’t you inform Stephen about her? He went to the City Moon Pack for nothing,” Ronald said, ignoring Ian’s question.
Ian swirled the glass and rested his back against the couch.
Without moving his gaze from Ava, he replied,
“He should learn how his sister was living in that pack.”
When Ava ignored Ian’s warning and did not come back to the pack, he sent Stephen to the City Moon Pack. He knew Stephen would go to look for Ava without letting him know.
Since she neglected his words, why would he care about her secret? So he decided to let her brother know that she had been lying to them.
“He will come back soon anyway,” he reminded his friends.
“How was she living there?” Ronald asked, sipping his drink.
“A very interesting waitress,” Ian muttered.
Ronald paused for a drink and turned to Ian.
“Ian, you are not that boy anymore who can go and fall for anyone and then roam around the whole pack heartbroken.”
It reminded Ian of the past.
He was really mad at Ava when he found Ava cheating on him. The whole week went depressingly for him. As days passed, his father noticed his behavior and mocked him about ruling his pack
At that time, he believed that he hated Ava, so he said to his father that whoever his father wanted, he would marry her.
When he returned to his pack, he went for a car race. Monica asked him if he had been in a bad mood since he had returned. He said he only wanted to ease his anger a little.

Staring at Ava, Ian muttered,
“I know.”
He saw how careless she looked.
There was no sense of guilt in her, no emotions, no shame.
Her smiling face ached his eyes, causing his eyes to darken once again. He did not want to see her happy. He yearned to punish
her till the end.
The pain he felt in his heart was unmatchable to any pain he would give her.
When he saw Ava leaving the dance floor, he chugged down his drink and got up from the couch.
“I am leaving.”
Ronald wanted to stop him, but before he could say anything, Ian started to head to the entrance.
Ava was also leaving with her friends.
On the way, they ran into each other.
He slowed his steps, letting them walk ahead.
“Ava, you danced really well,” Debra said to Ava.
Ian frowned when he heard it.
As Abigail noticed him behind, she hushed Debra and whispered something.
Ava stopped and turned around suddenly. It made Ian stop his steps.
Abigail and Debra did not expect her to stop in front of Ian. But they did not stop walking and walked out of the club.
Ian looked at Ava.
She folded her hands against her chest and asked,
“Did you watch me dance with the boy?”

“Why would I?”
She chuckled at him. His eyes moved to her lips, which part while she was laughing.
“Didn’t you say I like other men’s company?”
She moved toward him and raised on the tip of her toe.
She moved to his ear and whispered,
“You are right. I like their companies. I enjoy it. I will keep enjoying it. After all, this is how a whore feels.”
He clenched his jaw when he heard her. His eyes were on the doorway, not looking at her.
She moved back and said,
“Goodbye, Alpha Ian. I hope we won’t cross paths again.”
She then stormed out of the club, leaving him fuming with rage.
