The news that Alpha Ian had arrived to pay a visit to the office prompted Beta Bruno to make his way down to the lobby. He came to the company for some pack–related work But when the receptionist informed Dane that Alpha Ian had come, he told him to receive lan by saying,
“Your sister’s fiancé is downstairs. Go and receive him with respect.”
Bruno had no other option but to carry out the instructions that were given to him. Because he did not have a favorable relationship with Ian, he was dissatisfied with the choice that his sister had made.

Women in the lobby were whispering as they stared at him. Some of them giggling, some of them clicking photos of him.
However, no one dared to approach him.
There was a power that ignited from him that caused others to avoid approaching him.
Though his black glasses concealed his dark gaze, he appeared aloof from a distance.
Beta Bruno walked toward him and greeted him politely.
“Alpha Ian, welcome to our office.”
Ian was looking around the area as if his eyes were searching for someone. Without looking at him, he nodded his head.
Beta Bruno felt offended. He gave him a disappointed expression and said,
“Didn’t know Alpha Ian was like that to his familiar people. Didn’t he decide to marry my sister? Is this how he will impress her only family?”
Ian raised an eyebrow when he heard Bruno. He turned his head to look at him.
Beta Bruno was taken aback. Even though he could not see the man’s eyes, he could feel his glare on him.
“Alpha Ian doesn’t need to impress anyone. Your sister was the one who came to me.”
Beta Bruno felt embarrassed. Did Ian try to put all of the blame on Freya? Did his sister choose this type of man for herself?
As he was about to respond, a voice spoke up from behind.
“I have heard Beta Bruno is a friendly guy. I had no idea he could be so cold to his sister’s man.”
Beta Bruno turned around and saw Ronald Solace. He turned away and said,
“Beta Ronald.”
With a cheeky smile on his face, Ronald approached them. Today, when Ian left his house in a bad mood, Carolina called Roland to take care of him.
After that, Ronald called Neon to ask Ian’s whereabouts. Neon informed Ian that he was going to Alpha Dane’s office. So Ronald decided to join him here. He told Neon not to come since he knew why Ian chose to come here.
Ronald came to a stop beside Ian and extended his hand to Bruno.

The door of the elevator opened. Ian was the first one to enter.
The people who were exiting looked at him with shock. They could not believe their eyes.
Ian ignored them, leaning against the elevator’s wall.
The elevator door closed as only three people were inside. Bruno pressed on the top floor and waited for the floor
to arrive.
Ronald suddenly spoke up with an enthusiastic tone.
“Ian, let’s kill the man. Still so many floors to come!”
Ian turned his head to look at Ronald.
Beta Bruno’s eyes widened. Were they even real?
Ronald gazed at Bruno and laughed. “Remember, Ian, when we killed Alpha Marco’s beta simply because he did not greet you with the respect we expect from them? Killing is not something new for us.”
Beta Bruno had no fear of dying. But hearing Ronald’s words with that evil expression, he was taken aback.

Ian scoffed at him and shook his head.
At that time the door of the elevator opened. Before stepping out, Ian said,
“It is said that people prefer attractive villains to kind heroes.”
Beta Bruno was stunned that he claimed himself as a villain instead of a hero.
‘What is this man?‘ he thought.
Ian came out of the elevator. Beta Bruno remained silent as he made his way to the Alpha’s office.
Ian was trailing him.
But all of a sudden, he came to a complete halt when his eyes caught sight of someone.
