Ava was feeling exhausted. She just wanted to relax for a while. She came early in the morning and started to work. She did not even have breakfast. The stress of work continued to weigh on her mind. She was unsure whether she could finish her work before the deadline.
She looked at the meeting room after discussing her work with one of her employees.
“Alpha is in the meeting,” an employee announced,
Ava thought about returning to her cabin since Dane was busy.
She came to sit on her chair, resting for a little. She removed her coat because she felt hot inside.
As her eyes closed, she heard a ringtone. She pulled her phone from her bag and saw it was Abigail.
She received the call.
She spoke with Abigail and Debra on a group call last night. She explained everything to them. It was quite surprising to them that she was with Dane now. However, it was the truth.
“Hello?”
“Ava, have you spoken to him about the reunion? Will he corne?” Abigail asked.
Ava pressed her hand to her forehead and rubbed it. “No, I couldn’t. But I promise I will talk to him.
“What do you think? Will he come?”
Her question caused Ava to think about it. Would he agree to go? Wasn’t it her reunion? But at the same time, everyone would go with their lovers.
“I don’t know. He does not enjoy socializing. I can try, though.”
“Take him along with you. We would like to see how much he likes you. Being with someone is a big deal. And we need to thank him that he takes care of our Ava all these times.”
Ava chuckled as she nodded her head. “Okay, I got it.”
“By the way, Miss Florence, will you be with us in this project?”
“Ahhm hmm.”
Ava cleared her throat.
“Okay, okay. Not asking for any spoilers.”
“I was just kidding. But…”
She paused and turned her head to the black glass window from where she could not see anything.
“I want to beat you this time. So maybe…”
Abigail wished her the best of luck and then hung up since she knew Ava was a busy person.
Though the phone was hung up, Ava could not move her gaze from the glass.
She felt as if someone was looking at her.
But Dane was inside his meeting room. His assistant would let her know when he would return. So why did she feel a dark gaze under her?

Her wolf became curious as well.
For once, she wanted to burn the glass and see who was inside.
But then, she controlled herself and let out a deep breath.
“No one is there,” she told herself and grabbed a file.
She spent ten minutes reading the file. As she just put it on the desk, someone knocked on the door.
“Miss Taylor, the meeting is over. Alpha is free right now.”
She heard Dane’s assistant’s voice. She quickly rose from the chair and put on her coat.
She left the room, only to see Dane emerge from the meeting room.
When he noticed her, he paused in his steps. She walked toward him. The other businessmen who were coming out of the room noticed her.
Dane glanced at them, and they immediately lowered their heads.
Dane put his hand around her shoulder and asked,
“Do you have something to talk about?”
Ava nodded as they both walked to Dane’s cabin.
“What?” he asked.
Ava thought for a moment. She glanced around and realized that everyone was looking at them in shock. They were too close to be considered professional today.
“Everyone’s watching,” she murmured.
“So?” he asked out loud, causing her eyes to widen.
She pushed his hand away from her shoulder and said,
“Come on, do not make me embarrassed.”
Dane chuckled as he observed her expression. “Okay, fine.”
They walked towards the door. A thought crossed her mind as she asked,
“Is there anyone in your cabin?”
Dane looked at her and arched an eyebrow. “You don’t know?”
She shook her head. “No, I don’t. I am not sure. I was busy with my own work.”
“It’s okay. When you enter, you will see. A very special guest has come to visit our new office.”
“Visit our office?” she mumbled in confusion.
Dane grabbed the doorknob and walked into the office. Ava followed in his footsteps.
But as soon as she stepped inside, her legs froze.
Her gaze was drawn directly to the man sitting on the couch.
“Alpha Ian, you had to wait for me,” Dane said, moving closer to the couches.

Ian gave him a look but did not respond. There were a few cigarette butts lying in the ashtray on the coffee table
near the couches.
His eyes moved from Dane and shifted to Ava.
Ava did not move from the door for a while.
Dane noticed lan looking at Ava. He tilted his head and said to Ava,
“What are you doing there? Didn’t I tell you an important guest has come? Come, join us. He is the head Alpha of this pack.”
Ian’s cold eyes were fixed on Ava.
She averted her gaze and gathered her thoughts. She did not care who he was. She was now with Dane. She should only focus on him.
After closing the door behind her, Ava approached Dane.
“Yeah, I know him. Alpha Ian is really good at business,” she said, standing next to Dane.
Ian’s gaze moved away from her and back to Dane.
“Alpha Dane must be very busy. I wonder if he is so busy that his receptionist said he is free today.‘
Ava cast a quick glance at Dane. Free? He was the most hard–working man she had ever seen. He enjoyed working more than anyone else. She was aware that his schedule for today was unclear.
Dane moved toward his desk with a low chuckle.
“Perhaps the reason was to make Alpha Ian come to visit this office?”
Ava took a quick look at both men. She could feel the tension all around her. She never imagined they could be so calm in front of each other. She was always concerned that they would fight.
She saw Dane trying to remove his suit jacket. She recalled how he had been hurt this morning in his left arm. So she walked over to him and held his jacket.
Dane turned his head to look at her. She smiled at him and helped him in taking it off.
The room was silent as the two people were smiling at each other.
However, there was another man who was sitting on the couch, watching everything with his cold eyes.
His fists tightened as he noticed her taking off another man’s jacket in front of him.
