Because the car was silent, Ronald heard everything. His eyes were on Jan.
lan’s eyes grew intense. His one hand, which was gripping the steering wheel, clenched tightly.
Ronald’s gaze moved to his other hand. His fingers were bleeding. Because of his pressure, the glass broke, and the sharp edges cut his fingers.
“Ian!”
Ian removed the phone from his ear and threw it near the gearbox. Ronald gulped, not knowing how to calm his anger.
He was surprised to know that Ava was with Alpha Dane. Wasn’t it something unbelievable? He could never have imagined thinking like this before.
Ian moved his leg away from the brake pedal and slammed on the accelerator.
On the busy road, the car moved like the wind. The speed of the vehicle astounded the people.
To get past every other vehicle on the road, the car swerved to the left and right.
It was obvious to Ronald that his best friend would not listen. He recalled Ian’s accident. He hurriedly pressed the emergency button, letting other cars behind him know the car had no direction.
When the road was clear ahead of the car, Ian increased his speed even more.
“Ian, this is not a race where you have to cross the finish line. Calm down.”
Ian ignored his words and kept driving. His thoughts were replaying what he had heard from his men.
He didn’t know she was from the Thunder Howl Pack. It was not like he never wanted to know about her real pack. However, his parents lied to him by telling him the name of another pack. He wondered if it was because her mother had told them not to tell anyone about it.
How could her father have wanted her to marry Dane? Why? What could be the reason?
Did she know anything about it?
Was she aware of it four years ago?
His eyes froze as he had a horrible thought.
‘Did she purposefully break my heart four years ago? Did she get to know about Dane and then change her m Was that the reason she never came back?‘ He thought and could not blink his eyes.
“Ian, watch out!”
Ronald yelled at him when he noticed a car coming in their direction. Ronald grabbed the steering wheel and turned it to the left to move the car.
Jan realized that he could not concentrate on driving. He controlled the steering and pressed the brake. He stopped the car and came out of the car.
Ronald breathed out a sigh. They almost got into an accident a while back. He was afraid that if he had not been with Ian at the time, Ian would have been involved in another accident.
Ronald came out of the car, angry, because he was worried about his best friend. He shut the car door and looked
at Ian.

They had come to a bridge. Ian was standing near the railing, gazing at the river.
The bridge felt very familiar because it held so many past memories.
Ian’s mind wandered to his birthday four years ago. He had come here with Ava. He considered that day their first date. He was with her for the entire day. He was so in love with her that he finished basketball practice early in the morning just to spend the entire day with her.
A layer of emotion swept into lan’s eyes as he stared at the river.
How happy he was that day! He could still remember how they had spent the entire day together. He traveled a long distance to get here and then crossed the bridge to another town. He tried his hardest to make her feel safe with him. He wanted to be the most secure person for her.
However, even that day, she did not care about him. She asked him to do something that broke his heart. Even on that day, she did not choose him. She chose Luke over him.
He was never number one in her eyes. He always came after someone else.
Years of buried pain began to return to his heart. He did not understand why he could not let her go from his mind.
She cheated on him; she betrayed him enough and broke his heart, but yet she was always in his mind.
His eyes grew cold as he realized Ava and Dane had both been playing with him.
Years ago, he rejected her, which was his biggest mistake. But after that, he never thought of her badly but only fell in love with her. His love was genuine, unlike other boys who only wanted to sleep with girls and then broke up. He wanted to make her his Luna. 1
However, today she proudly claimed to be his ‘Rival’s Luna”
“Ian”
Ronald walked over to him. He blinked his eyes when he heard Ronald’s voice.
Taking a deep breath, he closed his eyes. Her heart froze in response to the cold breeze. The hatred in his heart for Ava was only getting deeper.
Today she proved how selfish she was. She claimed she never considered returning to this pack after learning about his accident.
Did she ever love him? The answer was clear in Ian’s mind. She had never loved him. She was only playing with his
heart.
She did what he was scared of. Once again the woman he desired chose the same man over him. The reason was again the same.
‘I wish I could stop my heart after that rejection. I wished I had never loved you. I wish I could kill you that day in Robin’s room,‘ he thought in his mind.
Ronald put his hand on Ian’s shoulder. “Buddy, why are you so affected? Didn’t you say you don’t care?” Ian did not turn to him. His gaze was fixed on the river as if he were viewing a reflection of his past. “I lied. I care. I do care about how she played with me. Now am not going to let her go that easily.”
