Freya walked toward Ian and held his arm. It caused Ian to look away from the elevator door.
“Let’s go.”
He began to walk and remarked,
“Never ask me to come here with you again.”
Freya frowned at him and asked,
“But you promised me that you would help me to get back my projects.”
“I don’t need to see your Alpha’s face again and again. I will speak with the sponsors directly.”
Freya knew she was not the reason why Ian was here. He came here because of Ava. She was not a foolish woman.
She kept quiet and decided to leave the company with him.
While exiting the building, their gaze was drawn back to Dane and Ava.
They had not left yet. Ava was sitting in the passenger seat inside Dane’s car. Dane was standing outside, conversing with Griffin.
Ian’s steps came to a halt in front of his own car. He turned his head to look at the woman in his rival’s car.
She appeared careless and delighted. How could she be happy after cheating on him years ago?
He got into his car and pulled out his phone.
Leaning against the back seat, he dialed a number.
Freya looked at Dane, taking note of his mood. The way he showed care toward Ava today, she did not like it at all.
The person on the other end of the line received the call. Ian glanced at Dane from inside the car.
“What is the next deal Alpha Dane is looking for?”
The man remained silent for a while as if working on it. After a few seconds, he answered,
“Livano Textile.”
Ian did not speak for a few minutes. The man did not hang up the call either.
“Send me the details and notify the owner that Alpha Ian wishes to collaborate with him.”
Freya’s eyes widened as she heard Ian speak. She blinked, unsure if she should say anything.
Ian hung up the phone and gazed at his driver.
“Pack house.”
Freya quickly spoke up,
“Drop me off at my house.”
Ian remained quiet. It implied that he did not mind dropping her.
During the ride, Freya kept glancing at him. When the car arrived at her house, she did not get out.
Ian gave her a look.

“Don’t want to go?”
She chewed her lips in confusion, lan sighed, not liking to waste time in silence.
“What happened?” he questioned.
She moved her hand to hold his and uttered,
“Don’t eye that deal. He has been working on that deal for along time. It is Livano Textile, the main company behind the Livano Scarlet Pack.”
Ian raised an eyebrow. “Why do you care?”
Freya lowered her head as she could not reply. He scoffed at her stillness.
He moved closer to her. Her heart skipped a beat at the closeness. But he did not touch her. Instead, he reached out his hand to open the door for her.
“I am getting late.”
“But Ian…”
“You don’t have to worry about your ex–boyfriend. If he can plan to destroy you, why are you even thinking about him?”
She gazed at him, shaking her head. “Then why did you go first to save Ava today? You said you hate her. Is your hatred that weak?”
His eyes darkened at her words. His furious expression startled her.
“Just because I speak to you calmly does not mean you will question my actions.”
His icy tone caused her to shake from the inside out. She hurriedly got out of the car and shut the door behind her and stood outside.
While bending over, she spoke to the window.
“Tomorrow night I will accompany you to the reunion party.”
Ian averted his gaze from her and looked at the road.
“I am not sure about going.”
Freya’s gaze was fixed on Ian. She heaved a sigh and mumbled,
“It is entirely up to you. It’s not my reunion party anyway. But I heard Ava is going there with Dane.”
Ian’s eyes returned to her. “Why the fuck is he going to my reunion party?”
Freya rolled her eyes and muttered,
“Who knows? Maybe your ex–girlfriend managed to persuade my ex–boyfriend to go there with her.”
Ian got infuriated. He murmured,
“8 p.m.”
After saying that, he ordered the driver to start the car.
Freya stood straight when the driver started the car. She realized he had agreed to go to the reunion party.

Ava was at Dane’s rental house.
She assured him that she was fine. But that man did not listen to her as he said she would rest inthis house today.
She had no choice but to obey his orders.
They had dinner together at night. When it was her time to leave, Dane said,
“Stay here tonight.”
Ava was stunned. On hearing his requests, she flushed. Every time she spent the night at his house in the Thunder Howl Pack, she stayed in the guest room.
But now, she had become iny girlfriend. She accepted his confession and committed to him.
Dane sat next to her on the couch. Ava’s cheeks reddened when his arms brushed against hers. She knew she would have to live her life with this man now. She was preparing herself to be with him.
Dane held her chin as he turned her to face him.
Caressing her chin with his thumb, he moved closer to her.
The closeness made her heart slow down. He came so close that his scent filled her nostrils.
The glowing white light of the chandelier fell on his face, glistening his brown eyes. With that pair of dark brown orbs, he observed her face.
“We have been really busy for the last few days. I couldn’t even talk to you properly.”
She lowered her gaze, but he lifted her chin even further, which caused her to look at him. His face came close to hers. His lips brushed against hers, causing her to shut her eyes.
Seeing her soft reaction, he whispered against her lips,
“Do you mind spending the night with me?”
