Nova’s words left Ava speechless. Dane scowled and gave Nova a fierce look.
“What are you talking about? What had she done that she could
not return?”
Ava tightened her jaw as she stared at Nova. She knew if Nova were there, she would do something to insult her. “She cheated-”
Nova was about to explain things to Dane when he said,
“Shut the fuck up.‘
Nova flinched in response to his cold voice. She looked at Dane with shocked eyes. “I–I am saying-
“Didn’t I say shut up? Do you want me to remind you who is in front of you? Do you really think I can’t punish your silly mouth just because this is not my pack?”
Everyone around them stopped doing whatever they were doing and stared at them. They began to speak in whispers.
“Nova is a foolish woman. How can she dare to offend the Alpha of the Thunder Howl Pack?”
“That man will kill him.”
“Of course he will. Who knows what drove him to come here? He is so calm before Alpha Ian. That is not what we have heard about their tales. They were adversaries of death”
“It’s all Ava’s fault. Why did she show up?”
“What about Nova? Ian had never loved her anyway.”
“Guys! Did you see how Alpha Dane just took Ava’s stand? He is really into her.”
“He looks very protective of her.”
“Ava has a strong family background. She is a gamma’s daughter and our gamma’s sister. Nova should not mess with her.“!
“Exactly! Look at her and Alpha Dane.”
“They look good together.”
“You are right. They look made for each other.”
All of the whispers rang out into the air. They also made it to Ian’s ears. His eyes darkened as the crowd started to praise Dane. He did not like how they were saying Dane and Ava were meant for each other.
However, his face was calm. A smirk appeared on his lips when he turned to Stephen.
“Your sister is with a good man. He is protective of her. That is lovely.”
Stephen gave Ava a quick glance before lowering his head and not responding to lan.
Freya was staring at Dane as she also heard everything. Her gaze remained fixed on him.
On the other hand, Ava was getting mad at Nova.

She warfied Nova, “If you keep blabbering, I will not spare you the next time.”
Nova lost her cool. She believed Alpha Dane had scolded her because of her.
“What will you do? You can’t do anything until you cry to Alpha Dane for help,” Nova said, folding her arms.
Ava clenched her fists and felt pain in her palms. She realized that in anger her claws were coming out. However, a hand gripped her hand.
She glanced at Dane, who patted her hand and shook his head.
Ava shut her eyes, trying to control her rage. She almost forgot she was in front of other people. Her witchy side
urged her to teach Nova a good lesson.
Dane leaned toward her and tilted his head before murmuring in her ear,
“Don’t lose your patience and let them see who you are. “Keep your temper under control.”
Ava’s eyes flung open as she turned to him. Their noses brushed against each other, causing others to gasp. They were way too close.
“Control, baby,” Dane said with a sly grin.
He then held the back of her head and embraced her, burying her face in his neck.
While stroking her hair, he cast a glance at Nova.
“Get out of this party if you don’t want me to kill you. You have offended my woman enough to make me do that.”

Nova blinked her eyes in surprise. She could not believe what was happening.
“I see, Alpha Dane is trying to show his rebellious side to my party.”
Tan’s voice echoed as he and his friends approached the couch.
Dane directed his gaze to lan. “Why don’t you tell your guest to behave? They are teasing someone they can’t afford to please later.”
Ian shifted his gaze to Ava. His eyes grew darker as he watched her hugging Dane. His eyes sank when he noticed Dane stroking his fingers through her hair.
“Ian, I didn’t do anything. I was just telling him the truth about Ava. I was about to tell him how she broke
Jan turned his head to give Nova a glare. She shut her mouth and lowered her gaze in fear.
Jan took another look at Dane and Ava before scoffing at them. Sitting on a couch across from them, he shook his head and uttered,
“Why don’t you kill this woman then? Why create so much chaos?”
Hearing him, everyone was shocked. Ava broke the embrace by slowly moving her head. She turned to look at lan, who was seated directly across from her.
“Oh, you are not in tears? I thought Alpha Dane was handling his crying baby,” Ian mocked her.
Ava glared at him and replied,
“With him, I am free to be myself. He knows what I can do if I get mad, so he was not handling me but protecting

Though everyone assumed he was talking about Nova, Ava knew he was referring to her.
Nova began crying as she looked at lan. “lan, I still love you I have always loved you. Why do you treat me this way every time?” She spoke as she held lan’s arm.
A hand reached out to grib Nova’s arm, pulling her away from lan. The sudden pull caught Nova off guard.
As soon as she turned around to see who was pulling her, she felt a glass of cold wine splashed on her face.
“What the hell!”
Nova screamed and wiped her eyes before looking at the person. She came across Freya Harrison.
Freya was looking at her angrily. “Never try to touch my man again.”
Nova got to know about Nova and lan’s relationship after coming back today. She thought it was just a rumor. But after Freya finished speaking, she confirmed that the rumors were correct.
Nova stomped her foot on the ground and walked out of the hall humiliated.
Freya looked around at everyone and smiled at them.
“Come on, guys. Continue the party. Some cheap girls came and tried to ruin it, but we showed them what they deserved.”
