No one knew what had happened between them to break them apart. They were going to find out the truth tonight. lan’s eyes were on Ava. He smirked as he started to speak,
“Once upon a time, a bad boy held the belief that love was afutile endeavor. He did not like giving attention to a girl for a second time. Brit one day…”
He paused as his smirk faded, reflecting on the past.
Ava avoided his gaze. She lowered her gaze, staring at the center table. Her hands rubbed against each other, trying not to let out anything. She was upset as lan reminded her of their past.
lan chuckled as he noticed her avoiding his gaze and resumed speaking
“One day, something happened. He ran into a nerd and broke her heart. Later, he began to feel sorry for her. He realized he should not have done it. He had no idea he was falling in love with her while observing her everywhere. He started to make her believe that he was changing himself for her. He stopped hanging out with girls. He even let her choose a friend over him. He gave up the most important thing in his life–his dream.”
Luke, who was sitting on another couch, looked at Ian with a frown. He recalled how he had beaten him. He was also aware that he could not win the basketball championship unless lan had lost the game on purpose.
Everyone’s expression became nervous as they kept looking at lan and Ava. Only Dane and his two men were unaware of what lan was talking about.
“Sounds really interesting. He was crazy in love with that nerd. What happened then, lan? Did he get her love? Did she accept his love?” Freya asked in a curious tone.
Ava cast a glance at Freya. Freya grinned slyly, indicating that she was aware of everything. But all she wanted was to humiliate Ava in front of others.
Jan chuckled, shaking his head. “Accept his love? Yes, she did. They entered into a relationship. But that was one- sided…”
His eyes pierced on Ava. He gritted his teeth and continued,
“Every time he got closer to her, she stopped him and pretended to be innocent. However, when he had to leave her for a while, he discovered she was with another man. It appeared that she had been with other men and had cheated on him from the beginning. How cruelly she killed his love! How foolish that boy was!”
Ava’s heart trembled. She slowly met lan’s gaze. She could see anger and hatred for her. Her face was pale, and she breathed slowly.
She felt a gaze on her from the side. She slowly turned her head and noticed Dane staring at her.
His gaze caused her heart to shiver.
He might have realized Ian was speaking about her.

Ava turned to face Abigail when she noticed Debra smirking at her. Ava observed Abigall’s reaction. She was shocked. She was not expecting this question to come.

His gaze was keen, staring at Abigail.
Abigail averted her gaze and simply nodded. “Yes, I did.”
“Wow! Not bad! Who could it be?” Lily asked with a surprised tone.
Abigail did not respond to anyone else. With a sly smile, Beta Bruno wrapped his arm around her shoulder.
“I don’t know who it was. But I will undoubtedly be the one to give her her next kiss.”
Everyone gazed at them in wonder and laughed. Unaware of Bruno’s motivation, Abigail cast a quick glance at him. They had just met, and she was not even friendly with him.
“Bro, you can’t force my bestie, okay? But yes, if she wants it, then we don’t have a problem, though,” Luke remarked and laughed.
He then winked at both Ava and Debra. Debra joined him in laughter, causing Abigail’s cheeks to flush. But Ava’s focus was on Ronald Solace.
He did not seem pleased with the conversation going on around him. His eyes darkened as he stared at Abigail.
