He then turned to the woman next to her and finished the sentence, “Freya”
Freya took a deep breath before starting to speak.
“I fell for him when I was a child,” she paused, looking away from Dare as if reflecting on the past.
“I thought he was powerful and could keep me safe forever. He even promised me once. He was a different person when we started dating. He used to say that his throne, money, and everything else were meaningless in front of me. He said he was my only guardian. She paused, lowering her gaze, then closed her eyes

Dane’s facial expression was impossible to read. Dane’s piercing gaze pushed Freya to delve deeper.
On the other hand, Beta Bruno glared at his sister for saying such things in front of others, despite the fact that no one here knew anything about her and Dane. His eyes, however, showed that he was also upset with his Alpha.
